Super Mario Bros. Franchise

There are two Nendoroid figures based on the popular Super Mario Bros. video game franchise. The original game was released in 1985 and has since spawned over twenty games and a myriad of spin-off titles. Mario is the main character and mascot of the Nintendo video game company. He is shown to be a short Italian character wearing a red top with blue overalls as though he was a plumber. Mario is a super popular character and he appears in over 200 video games which usually include him going on various adventures to save Princess Peach from the main villain Bowser.

#473 Mario

Mario is the hero of the Super Mario Bros. series, first appearing as the player 1 character in the original Super Mario Bros. game on the Nintendo Entertainment System. He was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto, who at first wanted to use Popeye as the protagonist but was denied. Mario was then created but they didn’t expect him to be popular. Contrary to their beliefs the Mario character became a wide hit and began to branch off into a wide variety of genres including puzzle games, fighting games, sports games, and many more.
