About Stitch: Background
Stitch, also known as Experiment 626, was a part of Dr. Jumba Jookiba's experiments to create chaos around the galaxy. The two were captured and sentenced to life imprisonment. However, the aircraft Experiment 626 was on, crashes, and he ends up in Hawaii, where he meets Lilo. Stitch disguises himself as a dog and is adopted by Lilo, who names him Stitch.
As he was created to cause chaos, Stitch initially struggles to turn off his destructive programming. Lilo attempts to teach Stitch how to be good and as time progresses, Stitch starts to do better. While he initially uses Lilo as a means of protection from Jumba and Agent Pleakley, he slowly begins to consider Lilo, his family and even saves her from danger.
Due to his original programming, Stitch is often seen as unlikeable by many characters. Characters like Mertle describe Stitch as ugly and deformed. However, no matter the mischief he gets up to, Lilo always picks up the pieces and helps support him.
About Stitch: Abilities
As Stitch was created to become a weapon, he has many skills. Namely, he is bulletproof and fireproof and can process information superhumanly. He can also see in the dark and can move objects 3,000 times his size. However, he was created to cause chaos, and his first instinct is to destroy everything in sight.
His abilities are limitless. He can endure attacks by plasma projectiles and can catch them with his bare hands. We also see him from a Volkswagen Beetle and stop a tanker truck. On top of these skills, he can stick to surfaces as his hands and feet can discharge sticky substances.
Stitch's greatest weakness is his inability to float or swim despite these many strengths. Due to his mechanical structure, he cannot float or swim and he will sink to the bottom of the water. His superhuman abilities also have some downsides, as his super-sensitive hearing leads to deafness if he is exposed to any severe blasts.

The most significant theme in the Lilo and Stitch franchise is family. For Stitch, his closest family is Lilo. The series follows Stitch's personal development as he finds a family and how he evades the hands of the Doctor and Agents trying to capture him.
Lilo Pelekai
The first two meet when Stitch is on the run from Dr. Jumba Jookiba. Lilo knows Stitch from his very violent days but stays by his side and supports him. At first, Stitch only saw Lilo as a means of protection but grew fond of her. Despite his destructive nature, Lilo does not give up on him and repeatedly tells him about Elvis Presley as a good role model he should follow. While it takes Stitch a while to suppress his destructive nature, the more time he spends with Lilo, the better he becomes. And before they know it, they have become family, and the two go on adventures to help evade Dr. Jumba and Agent Pleakley. Lilo acts as both a sister and the best friend of Stitch.
Jumba Jookiba
Stitch is very afraid of Dr. Jumba Jookiba. He is the creator of Stitch and was the one who programmed Stitch to have a chaotic nature. However, the relationship changes, and he starts to see him as part of his family, especially as Jumba helps Stitch and Lilo when kidnapped. The two then become good friends and have fun times, and Stitch starts considering him an uncle-like person. He also hopes that Dr. Jumba will become a scientist who does only good.
Gantu
The two are enemies. Gantu seeks Stitch to capture him and return him to the Galactic Federation. However, depending on the series, Gantu will redeem himself and have fun and help Lilo and Stitch escape and destroy their enemies.
