Tsunade Senju Naruto - Nendoroid

Naruto is a very well-known series with the anime first released on the 3rd of October 2002. It was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto telling the story of ninjas. The series is packed with action and cool fight scenes allowing the fans to get immersed in the world of shinobis. Within the series, Tsunade Senju is a popular character due to her strength and no-nonsense attitude making her a powerful female figure. Her features and characteristics can be seen in the Nendoroid figure, "Nendoroid Naruto Shippuden Tsunade".

From the Nendoroid line is Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage of Konohagakure. She wears her usual gray sleeveless yukata top with dark blue pants. Around her neck is the necklace she gives to Naruto to carry on the dream of becoming Hokage. The Tsunade Nendoroid comes with three different expressions: a standard smiling face, a focused fighting face, and a closed-eye smiling face. She comes with a small figure of Katsuyu, a slug she can summon to help heal.

About Tsunade Senju

Tsunade is part of the great Senju clan which founded Konohagakure. She is the granddaughter of Hashirama Senju the First Hokage of Konoha meaning she has a prestigious family.

About Tsunade Senju: Background

When she was a genin, she was teamed up with Orochimaru and Jiraiya who were under the teachings of the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi. The three became very powerful and famous and were named the Legendary Sannin. Tsunade was extremely powerful and excelled in the arts of healing becoming a shinobi who could heal herself and continue fighting.

During the Second Shinobi War, her younger brother Nawaki Senju dreamed of becoming the Hokage to carry on their grandfather’s legacy. To encourage her younger brother’s dream Tsunade gave him the necklace their grandfather had and kissed his forehead. However, her younger brother died in action causing her to actively petition for more medical ninjas on each team. She then met Dan Kato who agreed with her ideas and they became quite close. Dan confided in her his dream of becoming Hokage to change their village for the better. Like what she did to her brother, Tsunade gave Dan her necklace in the hopes he could accomplish his dreams. Dan, unfortunately, met the same demise as her brother, greatly traumatizing her.

Tsunade failed to treat Dan’s wounds causing her to become hemophobic and she stopped being involved with the shinobi world. She believed her necklace was cursed and whoever wore it that wasn’t Tsunade would be fated to die. When she was approached by Naruto Uzumaki who wanted her to become Hokage she refused. She believed that being Hokage was a fool’s job. However, after learning about Naruto who was similar to her brother and holding the same dream she faltered. She gave him an impossible-to-pass test but was greatly surprised when Naruto accomplished the goal she set.

Although she had once given up all hope of supporting anyone to become Hokage she decided to entrust her hopes to Naruto. Due to Naruto’s positivity and stubborn endurance he was able to change Tsunade’s mind about becoming the Fifth Hokage. Her desire to help Naruto’s dream allowed her to overcome her fear of blood allowing her to return to her former powerful self.

About Tsunade Senju: Abilities

Tsunade is a highly skilled ninja about to become the Hokage. She has an immense amount of strength even without the aid of chakra. By focusing chakra on her hand and releasing it on contact she can cause severe damage. Tsunade also has a contract with the slugs which can help heal. Her main summon is called Katsuyu which is a giant slug that can also change into lots of little slugs and heal multiple people at once.

Tsunade is an important character who helps rebuild the village after it was decimated by Orochimaru’s attack. She takes over the job her teacher had and becomes the Fifth Hokage of Konoha.

Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of the series. He is someone who helps Tsunade to regain her former position. Naruto is a very bright and positive child despite his childhood suffering. He had a small number of people help him and look after him allowing him to see there was still good in the world. Naruto helps others see the good in the world and always wishes to save his friends.

Sakura Haruno

Sakura Haruno is from a normal civilian family and wishes to become a kunoichi. Thanks to Tsunade taking her under her wing and teaching her, Sakura becomes very powerful. Sakura undertakes Tsunade's teachings well and becomes exceptional at the arts of healing. She emulated Tsunade's abilities well and became her best disciple.
