Sora is the main character from the famous Japanese franchise, Kingdom Hearts. Friendly, charismatic, and with a strong sense of justice, he holds the qualities of every hero, and his heroic nature is why so many love him. He is known as one of the best gaming characters created. About Sora

Sora is the main character in the Kingdom Hearts series. He is a teenager originally from the Destiny Islands and obtains a Keyblade to fight the Heartless creatures. He joins Mickey Mouse and his allies to help find their king.

About Sora: Background

Sora is a heroic character. He is charismatic, courageous, and most of all values his friendships the most. He also is optimistic and has a strong sense of justice. Sora has all of the qualities a hero needs and allows him to take charge when they need a leader. Like his childhood friend Riku, Sora is also very competitive, and almost loses sight of what he wants to do due to his competitiveness. Unfortunately, his competitiveness also leads to his arrogance. However, this goes out of his system quickly, and he remembers to stay humble.

About Sora: Abilities

Sora's biggest strength is his ability to use the Keyblade to defeat the Heartless and other Darkness-based beings. Unlike others, Sora did not inherit the ability to use the Keyblade. It was originally Riku's, but the key chose him due to the darkness in Riku's heart. He gained the ability to wield the Keyblade after his heart reached out to Ventus's, and he gained the ability to dual wield Ventus's Keyblade. His blade is from the Realm of Life.

Sora is trained to become a skilled fighter and is highly adaptive. Despite the short amount of training, he is experienced and can win against even the toughest of enemies. Sora also has vast knowledge about magic and is able to cast a variety of spells which helps cause damage to his opponents. He can also use spells to revive his allies or heal himself.

Other Important Kingdom Hearts Characters

With his charismatic nature, Sora can befriend almost everyone and anyone he considers his friend. He is willing to go up and beyond. In particular, he is very close with Riku and Kairi, his two childhood friends.

Riku

Riku and Sora have been best friends from a young age. While they are close friends, they also have an intense rivalry. Riku's darkness and jealousy stem from their rivalry as he is jealous of Sora. When Sora accidentally takes the Keyblade meant for Riku, his darkness takes over. Their rivalry, which leads to Riku's jealousy, was why Sora was able to take Riku's Keyblade. However, they soon make up and are back to being close friends.

Kairi

Kairi is also one of Sora's childhood friends. They seem to have had romantic feelings for each other from a young age, as we see the two of them share paopu fruit, which had a legend that those who share a paopu fruit, their destinies become intertwined. When Kairi goes missing, Sora puts his life on the line to find her and protect her. He goes as far as stabbing himself with a Keyblade to release her heart and in doing so, turning himself into a Heartless. Sora is very protective of Kairi and is willing to do anything to make her stay safe.
