Nadeshiko Kagamihara Laid-Back Camp - Nendoroid
Laid-Back Camp is a manga series that is written and illustrated by Afro and is known for its relaxed atmosphere, reference to real-life locations, and educational camping tips. The series itself surrounds the members of Motosu High School's Outdoor Activities Club and Rin Shima, a student who prefers going on solo camping trips. With the success of the series, a plethora of merchandise followed, leading to things like figures of characters from Laid-Back Camp being produced. Among these, Good Smile Company's line of Nendoroid figures is particularly notable for its popularity, variety, and affordability. Out of all of the characters from Laid-Back Camp, Nadeshiko Kagamihara has three different Nendoroid releases: the "Nendoroid Laid-Back Camp Nadeshiko Kagamihara (Re-run)", the "Nendoroid Laid-Back Camp Nadeshiko Kagamihara: Solo Camp Ver.", and the "Nendoroid Laid-Back Camp Nadeshiko Kagamihara: Solo Camp Ver. Nendoroid Laid-Back Camp Nadeshiko Kagamihara (Re-run)
This figure was Nadeshiko's first Nendoroid release and has her wearing one of her winter camping outfits, which consists of a red shirt with a white vest, black leggings, a green scarf, and a big, red hat that is decorated with matching pom-poms. In addition, this figure set also includes extra pieces like a cup of curry noodles, her gyoza hot pot, a portable stove, and her cell phone. It also comes with several different face plates that let one change her expression from a smile with an open mouth to a more neutral smile, to a relaxed smile with her eyes closed. Her hat and scarf are also removable, allowing for even more customization.

This figure of Nadeshiko changes things up by recreating her appearance from her first solo camping trip. The outfit she wears here includes a red shirt with blue shorts and black leggings, a white coat, an orange scarf, and a red, blue, and white beanie. This set also includes her camping backpack, a baked tomato, a bush, and two additional face plates: one with a starry-eyed expression and another with a satisfied, blissful expression.

Nendoroid Laid-Back Camp Nadeshiko Kagamihara: Solo Camp Ver. DX Edition
This special release of the Solo Camp version of Nadeshiko takes the original release and adds even more extra parts. These extra parts include a fire stand, a pair of tongs, a body part that has Nadeshiko wrapped in a blanket, and a second body part that has her with her jacket off. Aside from this, the DX. release is the same as the standard version of this Nendoroid. That said, the added customization this particular figure offers makes it a wonderful addition to one's collection.

About Nadeshiko Kagamihara
Nadeshiko Kagamihara is a high school student who recently transferred to Motosu High School. Shortly after her first day, she became a member of the Outdoor Activities Club.
About Nadeshiko Kagamihara: Background
Prior to the beginning of Laid-Back Camp, Nadeshiko lived in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka prefecture. On her way home from a long trip, Nadeshiko oversleeps at a campsite at Lake Motosu, where solo camping enthusiast Rin Shima happened to be visiting. Seeing a clear view of Mount Fuji in the background, Nadeshiko instantly falls in love with camping and befriends Rin without knowing that they go to the same school. Although she knows little about camping, her newfound passion drives her to learn all she can.
About Nadeshiko Kagamihara: Abilities and Skills
Despite knowing little about camping or camping equipment, one may say that Nadeshiko has an undying curiosity and naive, childlike fascination that is unlike any of the other characters. While this naiveté can be quite endearing, it also makes her an easy target for both Chiaki's pranks and Aoi's teasing. Rather than being knowledgeable about camping like Rin, Nadeshiko is notably skilled when it comes to cooking and has cooked for their camping group several times.
Other Important Laid-Back Camp Characters
When it comes to Nadeshiko, two particularly notable characters would be Rin Shima, the person who introduced her to the wonders of camping, and Aoi Inuyama, one of her fellow members of the Outdoor Activities Club.
Rin Shima
Rin Shima is a student at Motosu High School who enjoys taking solo trips to various campsites in her nearby area. Although she usually camps by herself, finding Nadeshiko caused her to learn how enjoyable camping with friends can be. As such, she chooses to not join the Outdoor Activities Club but often joins them in their camping expeditions. Since Rin had to learn how to camp on her own, she is much more experienced than the others and often has camping tips and tricks to teach them.
Aoi Inuyama
Aoi Inuyama is one of the founding members of Motosu High School's Outdoor Activities Club. She is known for being very approachable and speaking in a Kansai dialect. Although Aoi is very friendly to those around her, she likes to come up with made-up stories to tell her friends to tease them. This is especially true to Nadeshiko, as her childish personality makes her easy to trick.
