Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a manga series created by Masashi Kishimoto, Ukyo Kodachi, and Mikio Ikemoto. It is a follow-up series to the Naruto series created from 1999 to 2014. The story is about Naruto Uzumaki’s son, Boruto Uzumaki, who goes on adventures. The manga series was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016, while the anime series first aired on TV Tokyo in 2017. The series was so popular that Shueisha sold a million copies in one year.

Boruto is the protagonist of the series and is the son of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga. Growing up, Boruto missed his father’s presence because of Naruto’s long working hours as the Hokage. As such, Boruto resented his father for abandoning his family duties. His dream was not to become a great shinobi like his father but to become a cool shinobi like Sasuke Uchiha. About Boruto Uzumaki

Boruto shows his innate talents as a shinobi from the very beginning. Unlike Naruto and Hinata Hyuga, he aces his ninja classes. Furthermore, he perfects the Rasengan in a mere couple of days, whereas it took Naruto weeks. He can also perform one-handed seals and multiple Kage Bunshin techniques making his chakra control very advanced. His Hyuga lineage and the power of the Otsutsuki allow him to communicate with Momoshiki’s deceased spirit. As an ongoing manga and anime, it is exciting to find out how Boruto continues to grow as a shinobi.

Other Important Naruto Characters

Sarada Uchiha is a Team 7 member along with Boruto and Mitsuki. She is the daughter of Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha. Like Boruto, Sarada also grew up without her father. However, with Naruto’s help, she clears up her misunderstanding of Sakura being her blood-mother. During the process, she sees how powerful and warm the Hokage is. Her goal becomes to be just like him and protect the Hidden Leaf Village as the Hokage.

Mitsuki is another member of Team 7 along with Boruto and Sarada. He is an unusual child because he is a clone of Orochimaru. For reasons unknown, Orochimaru gives Mitsuki independence to discover his role in life. Wondering if Boruto is Mitsuki’s sun, Mitsuki goes to Konoha to befriend Boruto. Luckily, the 7th Hokage accepted Mitsuki without prejudice, even knowing that Mitsuki came from Orochimaru. Nonetheless, Mitsuki enjoys going on missions with Boruto and Sarada.
