Chiaki Nanami is perhaps the most tragic character in the Danganronpa franchise. As a result, she's widely beloved within the fandom. While Chiaki may not have a long figure lineup, her existing figures are high quality and in extremely high demand. Some of her figures have received multiple re-releases to meet fan desires. This scale figure by Phat shows the Ultimate Gamer doing what she does best. In a dynamic composition, Chiaki floats mid-air surrounded by gaming accessories. Monomi plays alongside her, unaffected by the apparent loss of gravity. Chiaki looks shocked, drawing her attention away from the game as she tries to figure out what's happening. She has her knees drawn in and her arms out to her sides in a pose matching her confused expression. The red tv and old school gaming console float around her, all above a 3D Monokuma face-shaped base.
The sculpting work complements the composition to convey the altered gravity within the figure. Chiaki's jacket and pink cat backpack float up behind her. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Chiaki Nanami: Bunny Ver. 1/4 Scale Figure
FREEing shows how Chiaki makes an adorable fluffy bunny in this scale figure. She sits on the ground with her knees out to the side. She places her left hand out before her while her right arm bends. Her right-hand rests by her face. She curls her fingers loosely, extending just her pointer finger. Her gentle open-mouthed smile pairs with her soft eyes to make a cute expression. The bodice mimics her shirt: beige, with black piping and white buttons down the middle. Chiaki wears a light pink bunny ear hat, but her spaceship hairpin is still visible.
Textural variance gives the figure depth and added realism. Her bodice is smooth and matte, contrasting with the more velvety appearance of her skin. The stockings are real fishnets to create a striking visual effect. Her bunny hat looks fluffy, and the pompoms match her bunny tail. About Chiaki Nanami
Chiaki Nanami is the main heroine of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and a central figure in the overall Danganronpa plot. Her talent is "Ultimate Gamer" as she can skillfully play any game in any genre, with the exception of dating sims. While gaming, Chiaki becomes so invested she forgets to eat and sometimes breathe. She is unusually calm and sleepy, leading her to occasionally fall asleep while standing. Prior to the events of Killing School Life, she and Hajime Hinata were best friends. However, Monokuma kills Chiaki in the first chronological execution in Danganronpa. An A.I. version of her participates in the Killing School Trip as an observer for the Neo World Program. In Danganronpa 2, she aids Hajime in uncovering the murder culprits and eventually the traitor. Monokuma's execution of A.I. Chiaki serves as the last chronological execution in the Hope's Peak series.
Other Important Danganronpa Characters
Hajime Hinata is the protagonist of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. He is cynical, skeptical, and distrusts his fellow classmates. However, he ultimately believes in kindness and harbors deep insecurities over his lack of an Ultimate Talent. Over the course of Killing School Trip, Hajime begins to trust Chiaki and together they solve murder cases among their classmates. Chiaki accidentally kills Nagito trying to put out a fire and asks Hajime to convince the class that she is the traitor. In Danganronpa 3, A.I. Chiaki appears in front of Hajime again as they discuss their hope for the future.
Monomi is the Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair mascot character. She is an A.I. created as part of the Neo World Program's rehabilitation efforts to heal the trauma of Hope's Peak class 77-B. Her real name is Usami and she is a magical girl resembling a stuffed rabbit. Shortly after arriving on the island, Monokuma infiltrated the program and attacked Usami. He removed her magical powers, altered her appearance to resemble his, and renamed her Monomi. Monomi desperately tries to convince the students to cooperate instead of distrusting one another. As fellow A.I.s, she and Chiaki are very close friends.
