Megumin Konosuba - Figures
Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! (often simply abbreviated to Konosuba) is a popular comedy fantasy series that began as a web novel series in 2012, but was quickly published as a light novel series by Kadokawa (Yen Press in the US) the following year. As the series gained popularity, an anime adaptation led by Studio Deen was greenlit and aired in early 2016. After a successful 10 episode run, a second season and film were produced as well. Fans quickly fell in love with many of the characters from the series, but one of the most popular characters is Megumin, the lovable Crimson Demon Arch Wizard. Although there are several dozen figures of Megumin that have been produced, some of the most popular ones currently available include the “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Megumin: Explosion Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure
This magnificent figure showcases Megumin preparing to use her signature Explosion magic. Megumin herself is posed standing firmly on the ground with her magic staff pointed toward the unfortunate target of her spell. Her cape is also flowing violently behind her as if whipped up by the chaos of casting Explosion magic. Megumin’s expression is serious and determined, showing off her dedication to her craft. This figure also includes Megumin’s wizard hat, which is removable and also features Chomusuke the cat resting on top of it. A variety of magical effects are also crafted into this figure, like the rainbow-colored stars protruding from Megumin’s staff and red and purple tendrils of magical energy swirling around the entire figure. Although the level of detail found in this figure is quite impressive, the price tag is also quite hefty as well, making this figure perfect for the more diehard fans of Megumin.

KonoSuba the Movie: Legend of Crimson Megumin: White Kimono Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure
In contrast to the previous figure, which shows Megumin in the heat of battle, this figure changes things up quite a bit. Not only is she posed with a cheerful smile with a hand making a peace sign, but she is also shown wearing a rather elegant kimono in place of her usual wizard attire. This kimono has several layers, each with a different color and pattern. The undermost layer is a simple solid purple and is mostly covered by the more prominent red layer, which has a pattern inspired by her Explosion magic. The outermost layer is white with gold trim and has a delightful floral pattern. This costume also includes a purple traditional Japanese paper umbrella as well. Despite the change in clothing, however, one can still see that her right leg is still wrapped in bandages as it usually is.

KonoSuba Megumin: Light Novel Swimsuit Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure
While most figures of Megumin try to recreate her design from the anime adaptation of KonoSuba, this figure is based on her design from an illustration from the 14th volume of the series of light novels. Fans will quickly be able to notice several differences in appearance, like the rounder eyes and more detailed hair and eyelashes. Aside from the change in design, this version of Megumin is also dressed in a unique costume as well. This figure is shown wearing a pink and yellow two-piece swimsuit and a white and gold jacket. Megumin is also posed standing on one leg while holding a beach ball. The included stand further emphasizes the beach theme of the figure, as it has a wave of water rolling across the sand.

About Megumin
Megumin is a Crimson Demon Arch Wizard and belongs to the protagonist Kazuma’s party. Despite being inherently skilled in magic due to her Crimson Demon heritage, Megumin chooses to only use and improve her Explosion spell. Because of this obsession, she often becomes a liability to the rest of the party, as Megumin doesn’t improve any of her other stats. Although she sometimes shows her meek side at times, Megumin is often very loud and proud. She is also quite prone to theatrics herself and often pretends that the eyepatch she wears is a magical item that seals off part of her power.
Other Important KonoSuba Characters
As a member of Kazuma’s party, she can often be seen interacting with Aqua, Darkness, and Kazuma and gets along with them quite well. Another character that appears in the series quite often is Yunyun, the self-proclaimed rival to Megumin. Although Megumin can seem harsh and uncaring toward Yunyun, she does genuinely care for her wellbeing. Chomusuke also gets along quite well with Megumin. So much so, in fact, that Chomusuke allows Megumin to call her a familiar.
