Futaba Sakura is the mid-game, standout heroine from Persona 5 who steals hearts with both her shyness and gremlin demeanor. Persona 5 Futaba Sakura Phantom Thief Limited Glow Base Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure

Futaba literally glows with confidence in this limited figure from Amakuni. She wears her Phantom Thief disguise, resting on the tilted sci-fi style computer blocks from inside Oracle’s main system. Her goggles rest on top of her head, giving fans a clear view of her beaming smile. She is surrounded by a band of visible data. The various shades of green contrasting with matte and glossy black give the figure a futuristic feel. For a greater futuristic effect, this limited version features a light-up base. When activated, a ring of green light glows on the base and this light continues into the digital blocks. The light reflects off the translucent band of data, giving it a hologram-like appearance. Together, the whole display evokes Futaba hard at work in Oracle, navigating the Metaverse with the Phantom Thieves.

About Futaba Sakura

Futaba Sakura is the genius hacker of the Phantom Thieves. Initially, Futaba met the Thieves as a semi-antagonistic force trying to force the Thieves to complete a heist for her. The target is none other than herself, as she feels trapped in her guilt surrounding her mother’s death. The Thieves free Futaba from her palace and help her unlock her Persona in the process. Although no longer mentally caged, Futaba still struggles with leaving her shut-in lifestyle and integrating into the outside world. With help from the Protagonist, the Thieves, and her guardian, Sojiro, Futaba starts to overcome her anxiety. Her personality regarding technology, however, is completely different. Hacker Futaba is excitable, cocky, and fully aware she is always the best coder in the room.

Other Important Persona 5 Characters

Sojiro Sakura is Futaba’s adoptive father and close friend of her late mother, Wakaba Isshiki. Sojiro cares deeply for Futaba and felt a fatherly attachment to her even before officially adopting her. When Futaba shut herself in her room, Sojiro felt he had failed her. As she begins to interact with the world, Sojiro is grateful that she had the Protagonist to help her. Sojiro is also the proprietor of Cafe LeBlanc, the unofficial home base of the Phantom Thieves.

Yusuke Kitagawa is an eccentric artistic genius and fellow member of the Phantom Thieves. Yusuke joins the thieves after learning his mentor and only guardian was using him and other students to create artwork under his own name. Like Futaba, Yusuke’s unique upbringing has altered his perception of the world and affected his social skills. He is occasionally cold or detached from his friends but only because he is blinded by his search for artistic inspiration.
