Sabo One Piece - Figures
One Piece is a manga series created by Eiichiro Oda in 1997. The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy and his adventure to become the pirate king. Eiichiro first published the series in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The popularity skyrocketed to where Toei Animations made the manga into an anime series. The manga broke the Guinness World Record for number of copies sold. Additionally, there have been many video games and movies created. As of December 2020, the series consists of 98 tankobon or volumes.
Sabo starts the series off as Luffy’s Brother. Growing up together with Portgas D. Ace and Luffy, they swore an oath over cups of sake of their brotherhood. Everyone believed Sabo died when his ship was destroyed early in the series. However, further, in the series, Sabo makes an incredible return to Luffy’s life. As number 2 of the Revolutionary Army, Sabo works under Luffy’s father, Monkey D. Dragon. His goal is to fight against the corrupted government to restore humanity. About Sabo
Sabo is the second in command of the Revolutionary Army. Although sworn to Luffy and Ace as brothers, Sabo is of noble descent. His family never considered him to be an honorable heir due to his life with Luffy and Ace. As a result, Sabo set off first of the trio to begin his adventure. He was just beginning to sail his ship out to sea when it bumped into a Celestial Dragon’s ship. Unfortunately, the Celestial Dragon ordered Sabo’s ship sunk because he was a pirate. Luckily, Monkey. D. Dragon saved Sabo’s life. Although presumed to be dead by Luffy and Ace, he reunites with him at the Colosseum tournament. There he obtained the Mera Mera no Mi to succeed Ace.
Other Important One Piece Characters
Monkey D. Luffy is the protagonist of the One Piece series. His adventure began when his role model, Shanks, protected him from a sea monster. While protecting Luffy, Shanks lost his arm. Since then, Luffy set his eyes on becoming the king of pirates. His goal is to find the treasure known as the One Piece. As a child, he met Sabo and Ace. As they trained for their future pirate lives, they grew closer together as true brothers. They went so far as to steal some sake and swear a brotherhood oath.
Portgas D. Ace is the third brother in the trio. Ace is known for commanding Whitebeard’s 2nd division. Although adopted by Monkey D. Garp, he is the son of the legendary pirate king Gold D. Roger. However, he considers Edward Newgate (Whitebeard) as his true father. Ace tried to murder Whitebeard at first (only around a hundred times), but as time continued, he accepted his role. Ace’s powers are that of fire. Meaning he can literally shoot fire and become fire. Unfortunately, Ace was killed by Akainu during the war to save himself from execution right in front of Luffy.
