Glavenus Monster Hunter - Figures
Monster Hunter is a series of action role-playing games that is developed and published by Capcom. Although the first game in the series was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004, it quickly became a hit and now has five games in the main series and numerous spin-off series. In the mainline Monster Hunter series, players are tasked with completing hunting and gathering quests that involve taking down monsters that are many times larger than the avatars they control. Progression often takes the form of materials obtained by completing these quests that are used to make better armor and weapons that allow players to fight even more dangerous monsters. With the incredible success of the Monster Hunter series, various kinds of merchandise inspired by the series have been produced. Although fans can enjoy many different kinds of charms, plushies, and apparel, figures of the many unique monsters from the game are quite popular. One particularly popular monster is Glavenus, the Cutting Wyvern. Capcom Figure Builder Creators Model Monster Hunter Glavenus Figure (Re-run)
This figure from Capcom’s Figure Builder line features an intimidating rendition of the deadly Glavenus. The monster is posed perching on a stone spire on its two hind legs with its massive sword-like tail brandished in front of its body. Its large mouth is wide open, signaling that it is letting out a roar to intimidate its target. This figure is also packed with many intricate details, like the huge, black spikes that line its back, razor-sharp teeth, and the wear and tear on its metallic tail. The figure also captures Glavenus’ colors quite well. Fans are sure to admire its crimson body, dark blue spikes and mouth, and shiny gunmetal blue tail. Although it has a fairly steep price tag, fans of Glavenus are sure to want to add this figure to their collection.

Capcom Figure Builder Monster Hunter Standard Model Plus: The Best Vol. 4-6 Box Set
This collection of nine figures includes some of the most popular monsters from Capcom’s Figure Builder volumes 4 through 6. Each figure is blind-boxed, so it is possible that an order will contain duplicates. The version of Glavenus included in this lineup is posed with its mouth open as if it were about to bite an unseen target. Its iconic tail is raised to one side to follow-up with a devastating swipe. Although the figure is fairly small, it still captures most of Glavenus’ unique design, like its massive spikes, sharp tail, and red body. The other monsters included in this lineup are Gammoth, Lagiacrus, Agnaktor, Mizutsune, Astalos, Dreadking Rathalos, Dreadqueen Rathian, Silverwind Nargacuga, and both a clear version of Teostra and a secret monster as a bonus.

Capcom Figure Builder Monster Hunter Standard Model Plus Vol. 15 Box Set
This box set is one of the standard volumes in Capcom’s Figure Builder series and features a different version of Glavenus than mentioned previously. While the previous figure featured Glavenus in a mid-battle pose, this figure has the monster with its tail down low and head raised high to make it look like it is unleashing an incredible roar in preparation for an attack. In total, this box set includes six blind-box figures with a line-up of the following monsters: Nargacua, Glavenus, Banbaro, Fulgur Anjanath, Barroth, Jyuratodus, and a clear version of Glavenus as a bonus.

About Glavenus
Glavenus is a Brute Wyvern that first appeared in Monster Hunter Generations and has since appeared in several other main games and spin-offs. Although it has a powerful bite and hind legs, the most notable tool that Glavenus has to attack with is its unusual sword-like tail. The monster is also able to produce burning projectiles and is often used to both sharpen its tail and give it explosive properties. With these weapons at its disposal, Glavenus is considered to be a truly formidable foe to nearly any who cross its path. There are also two even deadlier variants of Glavenus: Acidic Glavenus and Hellblade Glavenus.
Other Important Monster Hunter Characters
Like other monsters, Glavenus will hunt and consume other small creatures like Larinoth in order to recover energy when it is exhausted. It can also be seen engaging in Turf Wars with several incredibly strong monsters, namely Zinogre, Diablos, and Rathalos.
