Angewomon Digimon - Figures
Angewomon stands out as one of the original true humanoid Digimon in the series. Her design influenced subsequent Ultimate Forms in later seasons, especially for female coded Digimon. However, Angewomon's power and moving story arc cement her place as a fan favorite. Despite being one of the most sought after figures, Angewomon has rarely been captured in 3D form. But what few figures there are depict her beautifully. Two Angewomon figures that bring her angelic grace to life are "Precious G.E.M. Series Digimon Adventure Angewomon Celestial Arrow Ver. w/ LED Base" and "Digivolving Spirits 04: Digimon Adventure Angewomon."
Precious G.E.M. Series Digimon Adventure Angewomon Celestial Arrow Ver. w/ LED Base Figure
This dynamic, immaculately detailed figure from MegaHouse shows Angewomon as she powers up her Celestial Arrow attack. The figure rests on one leg, her left knee bent and raised up near her hip. Her left arm extends forward to form her bow out of her wrist and she pulls back with the arrow. Angewomon leans down for the attack, with her wings splayed for a mid-flight aerial attack. She lets out a battle cry, still letting her enemy know she means business even with her face half-covered.
The standout feature for this figure is the delicate carving. Each feathered edge on Angewomon's silhouette tapers delicately. The folds in her clothing, especially at her knee and hip, add depth and dimension. Even the hem on the bottom of her bikini appears to gently press against her skin. The pearlescent finish on her clothes helps emphasize the textural differences within the figure. Her ribbon curves naturally around her arms and head with an almost weightless quality. The Celestial Arrow itself displays precise sculpting to give the appearance of glowing rays of light. The illumination from the LED base enhances the mystical quality and showcases the texture and sculpting.

Digivolving Spirits 04: Digimon Adventure Angewomon Figure
Gatomon achieves her Ultimate Angewomon form in this two-in-one transformation figure from Bandai. The figure arrives in Gatomon form. The Gatomon design faithfully includes her heart-shaped nose and tail ring. Her tail ring is die-cast in metal and engraved with its DigiCode. Gatomon's points of articulation also serve as the seams and key access points for her transformation.
To form Angewomon, Gatomon's main body unfolds to become her dove-like wings. Four of the six wings feature a feather edge and hinge articulation. The Gatomon body has a set of wing hinges on the back, allowing for fans to pose more of her body. The gloves over her paws open and invert to form the feathered ends of her ribbon.
The Angewomon design also features articulation at major joints and a semi-posable ribbon. Her bikini, helmet, and Holy Ring are diecast, with the bikini and Ring additionally chromed for an extra ethereal effect. The Holy Ring features an engraving of the DigiCode, which is delicately painted on the ribbon as well. Key sculpting details include the belts around her waist and feathery texture on her right shoe.

About Angewomon
Angewomon is the Ultimate Form of Gatomon and DigiDestined partner to Hikari Yagami. She is the female counterpart of Angemon, also taking the form of a large, angelic humanoid figure. Gatomon's DigiEgg fell during an attack, alienating her from the group. When she hatches as Nyaromon, she waits for the person she was programmed to be with. After digivolving into Salamon, she embarks on a journey to find her partner but finds Myotismon instead. He trains her as a general, abusing her and suppressing her memory in the process. As Gatomon, she eventually encounters Kari and remembers her destiny. During the fight with Myotismon, Gatomon digivolves into Angewomon after Hikari activates the Crest of Light. Angewomon is one of the pivotal characters in the first season anime plot. She remains one of the most popular characters due to her iconic design despite her limited appearances in Ultimate form.
Other Important Digimon Characters
Hikari Yagami, or Kari Kamiya in the English dub, is Taichi Yagami's younger sister. She is kind, quiet, and sickly, which limits her activity at times in the series. When the group of the DigiDestined warped to the DigiWorld from summer camp, Hikari was absent with a summer cold. She reunites with the group after they return to the Real World to stop Myotismon, who is searching for the eighth DigiDestined child. Unknown to the group, the eighth DigiDestined is actually Hikari. She eventually encounters her Digidestined partner, Gatomon, a minion serving Myotismon. Gatomon remembers her true identity after meeting Hikari and together with Wizardmon search for Hikari's Digivice and the Crest of Light. However, Myotismon captures Hikari, identifying her as the eighth DigiDestined. After Wizardmon sacrifices himself to save her, Hikari activates the Crest of Light, causing Gatomon to digivolve into Angewomon.
Myotismon is a Ghost Digimon and the first true threat to the DigiDestined in Digimon Adventure. He was created along with Devimon and Etemon during the chaos Apocalymon manifests in the DigiWorld. Myotismon's appearance references Edwardian vampires, with a long bat-like cape, bat-themed attacks, and weakness to sunlight. After visiting the Real World, he begins to drink human blood. He serves as a foil to Angewomon and ultimately catalyzes her digivolution. His stylized design and popular story arc have made Myotismon one of the most iconic villains in the series.
