Gaara Naruto - Figures
Naruto is a manga series created by Masashi Kishimoto. The story is about Naruto Uzumaki. Originally an outcast, his lifetime goal was to become the Hokage. The manga series was first published in 1999 in Shueisha’s magazine, Weekly Shonen Jump. The series completed in 2014 with 72 volumes. The manga was so popular that Pierrot and Aniplex animated the series. The series is split into two sections. The 1st half is called Naruto, while the 2nd half is Naruto Shippuden which takes place in his teen years.
Gaara appears in the Naruto series as the Jinchuriki of Shukaku, the one-tailed spirit which is similar to Naruto who is the nine-tails Jinchuriki. Gaara grew up isolated and alone because everyone in the Sand village regarded him as a monster. He hated the world so much that he scarred the word love into his forehead. He only looked out for himself. After being defeated by Naruto he realized that friendships were possible, even for him. He started following Naruto’s footsteps and dreams eventually becoming the Kazekage of the Sand Village.

About Gaara
Gaara is the jinchuriki of the One-Tailed beast Shukaku. When his mother, Karura was pregnant, his father ordered for the One-Tailed beast to be sealed inside Gaara. His motive was to make his son into a weapon to fight for the Sunagakure. Being a human weapon Gaara grew up without family or friends. Everyone only saw him as a monster despite the kindness Gaara tried to show. His own father even tried to kill him on multiple occasions because he was so dangerous. Gaara's uncle Yashamaru seemed to be the only one who cared for him. However, Yashamaru was ordered to kill and lie to Gaara to test and see if Shukaku would be released. In self-defense, Gaara kills Yashamaru and decides that he would only care for himself from then on.
Other Important Naruto Characters
Kankuro is Gaara’s older brother and a shinobi of the Sand Village, he specializes in using puppets as weapons. Although it was custom to make the firstborn a jinchuriki, neither Kankuro nor Temari was fit to become a jinchuriki. Like everyone else, Kankuro initially regarded Gaara as a monster. He was terrified of him because Garaa did not show any remorse for killing humans. He recognized that Gaara’s encounter with Naruto changed him which made Kankuro want to support Gaara’s dream.
Temari is Gaara's older sister and is the firstborn of Karura and Rasa. She also had an unfulfilling childhood as boys were intimidated by her lineage. Nonetheless, she was a powerful kunoichi, allowing her to become a Jonin by part 2 of the series. Her powers lie in her ability to control the wind with her giant fan. She was elected to become Gaara’s personal bodyguard when he became the Kazekage.
