Zenitsu Agatsuma Demon Slayer - Figures

The Demon Slayer series began as a manga serialization that was printed in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016 and quickly exploded in popularity after the Ufotable anime adaptation was aired on television in April 2019. In order to satisfy fans’ desire for merchandise, a myriad of different figures was produced, a majority of which was inspired by the main cast of characters. One such character is Zenitsu Agatsuma, a friend and teammate of the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado. Fans will be able to find over a dozen different figures of Zenitsu featured in a variety of different sizes, poses, and prices. Three such figures include the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma Premium Perching Figure”, the “ConoFig Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma”, and the “Look Up Series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma”.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma Premium Perching Figure

This particular figure features Zenitsu in a sitting position with his feet hanging off of an edge as he enjoys one of the rice balls resting in his lap. His face shows expressions of delight, gratitude, and satisfaction, likely a hint that he had been anticipating this meal for quite some time. As Zenitsu holds his partially-eaten rice ball out in front of him, one may notice the little sparrow, Zenitsu’s Kasugai Crow, perched on top of his head as well. Like many other depictions of the character, this figure of Zenitsu has him wearing his standard Demon Slayer outfit. This costume consists of the standardized black and white Demon Slayer’s uniform that is covered with Zenitsu’s unique yellow and orange haori. The figure itself is just under six inches tall and is made with PVC. One notable characteristic unique to this figure is that it is designed to be displayed on the edge of a desk, table, or other flat surfaces.

ConoFig Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma Figure

In contrast with the previous figure, this figure from Aniplex’s ConoFig line showcases Zenitsu in a much more dynamic and action-packed pose. Rather than sitting down and enjoying a meal, this rendition of Zenitsu has him standing on one leg with the other raised up to his thigh. One of his hands is grasping the sheath of his Nichirin Blade as he prepares to draw it with the other. The expression on this figure is rather neutral and has Zenitsu’s eyes closed as if he were intensely concentrating on his next move. Zenitsu’s haori is also seen flowing behind him, further adding to the dynamic pose of the figure. All of these characteristics point toward this figure recreating Zenitsu when he uses his devastating Thunder Breathing technique, a fan-favorite moment from the series that is well-loved for showing how overwhelmingly powerful the otherwise cowardly Zenitsu can be.

Look Up Series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma Figure

While most other figures depict Zenitsu as he appears in the original material, this figure takes a cuter, more chibi-style approach to his design. It features a head that is nearly as big as the rest of Zenitsu’s body and has similarly large eyes to help emphasize the cuter aesthetic that most chibi-style figures have. This figure is also posed in a sitting position with Zenitsu bringing up his legs toward his chest and resting his arms on his knees. Zenitsu’s pensive expression has a hint of worry on it, making it seem as if he were pondering the danger of an upcoming mission. This figure also features a joint in Zenitsu’s neck, which allows the user to tilt his head in various directions.

About Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu Agatsuma is one of the main characters of Demon Slayer and is often found following the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, and Inosuke Hashibira. Zenitsu has low self-esteem and is often seen as a pessimist and coward among his peers. When push comes to shove, however, he can be quite reliable in combat with the use of his Thunder Breathing technique. Another noteworthy ability that Zenitsu has is his heightened sense of hearing, which is a great compliment to Tanjiro’s incredible sense of smell. As one of the main characters of the series, Zenitsu has a decent amount of screen time devoted to him, which allows fans to see the various sides of Zenitsu. While this includes his more timid and cowardly nature, it also allows fans to see just how overwhelmingly powerful he can be in times of need. This contrast is likely one of the things that have made fans fall in love with him.

Other Important Demon Slayer Characters

Other characters from the Demon Slayer series that are closely connected to Zenitsu would include Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, and Inosuke Hashibira. This group of characters is often sent together on missions and have to work together to overcome whatever stands in their way. Tanjiro and Zenitsu generally get along well, likely due to Tanjiro’s incredible leadership and kind nature. His relationship with Inosuke, however, is much more unstable, as their personalities and ideologies clash on a fundamental level. The interactions Zenitsu has around Nezuko for the beginning of the series are played off as comedic, as Zenitsu quickly develops a crush on Nezuko and is easily flustered when she is nearby. Eventually, however, Zenitsu calms down around her and even acts as her bodyguard when needed.
