Nezuko Kamado Demon Slayer - Figures

One of the most popular series from the Spring 2019 anime season was Demon Slayer and, as such, many different kinds of merchandise like figures were produced and sold to its many fans. The most popular figures from this series showcase various characters in iconic scenes from the anime or manga or completely new poses yet to be seen by fans. These figures also come in a variety of shapes and sizes ranging to standard scale figures, to small chibi ones, to even tiny figures that fit in the palm of your hand. There is a particularly wide variety of figures of Nezuko Kamado, which may not be surprising considering how highly she ranks on various female character popularity polls. This figure shows Nezuko after she had already been turned into a demon. The crimson tips of her long hair fly in the wind as she prepares to engage an enemy in battle. Nezuko wears a fierce expression on her face and the pupils of her pink eyes change into vertical slits. Like the anime and manga, this figure also includes details like veins bulging on her forehead, further intensifying her angry expression. She is posed with her knees bent and claws at the ready as if she were in “attack mode” and ready to pounce on an enemy demon. She is dressed in her standard pink floral patterned kimono and black haori.

Kimetsu no Yaiba Nezuko Kamado (G.E.M. series Palm-Size Nezuko)

This figure by Megahouse Corporation is designed to be small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. This version of Nezuko is sculpted in a sitting position with her legs straight out in front of her. Nezuko is also in her child form, making her pink kimono and black haori much baggier than usual while her crimson-tipped hair flows all the way down her back. This Nezuko, however, does not have her black leg wraps or sandals that she usually wears. Instead, her bare legs simply sit in front of her. The bamboo gag she often wears seems comically large as well, as it does not shrink with her. A look of concern or confusion is shown on her face as well.

Kimetsu no Yaiba Nezuko Kamado 1/8 Scale Figure

This beautiful figure of Nezuko displays her sitting on the wooden box that is used to carry her around. She is dressed in her usual pink patterned kimono, black haori, leg wraps, and pink sandals. The pose has one of her legs drawn closer to her torso while her long, vermillion-tipped hair flows behind her. Nezuko’s hair is sculpted in a way that makes it look as if it were blowing softly in the wind, capturing the elegant atmosphere of the character perfectly. She wears a soft, kind expression while she gazes at something to her side, displaying a gentle and calm side of Nezuko. Although she continues to wear her bamboo gag in her mouth, it does not prevent her charming features from shining through.

About Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko Kamado is a character from the Kimetsu no Yaiba series and is the younger sister of the main character, Tanjiro Kamado. She is a critical part of the story, as she is turned into a demon, causing Tanjiro to set out to become a Demon Slayer and search for a way to turn demons back into humans. She acts as his main motivation to continue to grow stronger as he progresses through the story. Although many characters throughout the series end up wanting to protect her, she is more than capable of protecting herself. She is not a typical female lead that ends up becoming a damsel in distress and often aids Tanjiro in his battles against the various demons he faces throughout his journey. This, along with her cute and childish personality makes her one of the most popular female characters in the series. She was once the most beautiful girl in her village and, as such, she is often recreated with elegant and soft features to help portray this beauty, though Nezuko also has a fierce side as well.

Reviews

Although Nezuko is a character that is well known within the series, many may recognize her before they recognize Tanjiro due to her unusual bamboo gag. This has led to many people creating cosplay of her. Some cosplayers also like using a specific figure as a reference for their cosplay to re-create a specific emotion or atmosphere regarding Nezuko. Since some of these figures are incredibly popular, some manufacturers will do several production runs to help satisfy the demand. The popularity of the Kimetsu no Yaiba series will continue to grow as more people continue to take notice of the story and become fans.
