Fate Grand Order Nendoroid - Figures
Fate/Grand Order started as a mobile game that was originally released in 2015 to almost immediate success. Due to its incredible success, its influence spread across many different forms of media from anime, to manga, and, of course, merchandise. While themed goods, art prints, and apparel are quite popular, figures are a great way for fans to express their passion and investment into a given series. Scale figures that accurately recreate their favorite characters may be more popular when it comes to the figure market, but other styles of figures like Nendoroids also feature a wide list of characters from Fate/Grand Order in a short and cute chibi-style that some fans may prefer. There may be dozens of figures from the Nendoroid line, but the most popular ones are currently the “Nendoroid Fate/Grand Order Rider/Ozymandias: Ascension Ver.” figure, the “Nendoroid Fate/Grand Order Foreigner/Katsushika Hokusai” figure, and the “Nendoroid Fate/Grand Order Master/Male Protagonist” figure.
Nendoroid Fate/Grand Order Rider/Ozymandias: Ascension Ver. Figure
This Nendoroid features the Pharaoh Ozymandias, a “Servant” character that the player can summon in the game. Ozymandias is seen wearing a blue and gold outfit with a white mantle that covers most of his arms and his back. He also wields a similarly blue and gold staff that is used to summon a glyph of the Eye of Horus. The Ascension version of this figure includes everything in the standard version and adds extra pieces to allow users to change him to his Ascended form as it appears in the game. The figure also includes various facial expressions and articulated parts that allow users to create a variety of interesting or amusing poses. Due to the figure’s chibi style, the clear stand found in the figure’s box has to be used to keep it from falling over.

Her outfit also includes an incredible amount of floral decorations in her hair and on the front side of her yellow obi. Accompanying the main Katsushika Hokusai figure is her black ink octopus companion, Toto-sama, who gets their own cloud of ink to spray however the user wants. The figure also includes several different brushes of varying sizes and facial expressions to help users come up with a number of different poses.

Nendoroid Fate/Grand Order Master/Male Protagonist Figure
“Master” is a title given to someone capable of summoning Servants and also acts as a name for the player character in Fate/Grand Order. Although there is both a male and female version of the Master, this Nendoroid features the male version of the character. He wears the classic Chaldea uniform, which consists of black slacks and a white jacket that is held together by two black belt straps. Several different arms and facial expressions are included to help create each user’s idea of the perfect pose. Other items from the game like a Proof of Hero medallion, a Dragon Fang, three Mana Prisms, and a Holy Grail are also added for even more possibilities. Like most Nendoroids, this figure needs to be supported with the included stand or it will fall over.

About the Characters
Most of the characters in Fate/Grand Order are called “Servants” and originate from legendary figures from history, mythology, and other ancient texts. For example, Ozymandias is another name for Ramesses II, one of several Pharaohs often said to be the Pharaoh of the Exodus in the Christian Bible. On the other hand, Katsushika Hokusai is a famous Japanese woodblock print artist. Katsushika Hokusai in Fate/Grand Order is actually a pair of characters, with the main character being Hokusai’s daughter, Katsushika Oi, while Hokusai himself is represented as the black octopus that accompanies her. This idea is reinforced by how the girl refers to the octopus as “Toto-sama”, which is one of several ways to refer to one’s father. One of the exceptions of characters being Servants in Fate/Grand Order is the Master character, as they are not summoned in the game. They do, however, act as the main character, which gives them a great amount of recognizability in the Fate community.
