Haikyuu!! Nendoroid - Figures

Since the publication of the manga in 2012 and its anime adaptation in 2014, Haikyuu!! quickly became the most popular volleyball series both nationally and internationally. After this phenomenon, in addition to scale figures, a great number of Nendoroid figures based on the series were launched. The cute design of their characters and the dynamism of their poses made them popular with fans. Some characters that are available as Nendoroid figures are Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Toru Oikawa, Koushi Sugarawa or Yuu Nishinoya. Nendoroid Haikyu!! Shoyo Hinata (Re-run)

This figure shows Hinata in his Karasuno High School volleyball uniform. He has short orange hair and light brown eyes. The uniform consists of a T-shirt and black shorts with an orange collar and stripes on the sides. The number 10 is inscribed on his chest, the same number as its idolized “Little Giant”. He wears knee pads with white and orange sports shoes that allow him to run extraordinarily fast. This figure includes interchangeable hands to create dynamic poses with the ball. It also includes 3 different facial expressions: a smiling, confident expression, one with an extreme, tense emotion, and another with a bubbling, joyful expression. Nendoroid Haikyu!! Tobio Kageyama (Re-run)

This figure shows Kageyama wearing the Karasuno High School volleyball uniform. He has short black hair and dark eyes. His uniform is black and orange, the official colors of his team. On his shirt, there is an inscription of the number 9 under the insignia of the Karasuno volleyball team. He also wears knee pads and black shoes that allow him to place the ball for his teammates quickly. 3 interchangeable expressions are available: a standard expression, a broken expression, and a thrilled expression. Apart from these faces, the figure includes a volleyball, a net and a special Nendoroid base that represents a volleyball court. There is also a “Quick Toss” effect part and a crown, as he was contemptuously nicknamed “The King of the Court” by his former teammates.

Nendoroid Haikyu!! Toru Oikawa (Re-run)

This figure shows Oikawa wearing the Aobajousai High School’s volleyball uniform. He has short, dark brown hair and brown eyes. His uniform includes a white and turquoise t-shirt and shorts. As captain of his team, he has registered number 1 on his chest under his team’s insignia. This figure includes 3 types of expressions: a fearless expression, a standard smiling expression, and a more playful expression with his tongue sticking out. It also comes with a special stand that resembles a volleyball court, as well as a volleyball. Also, there is a long-sleeved jersey and an effect part to represent his well-known “murder serve”.

About the Characters

Some of the most popular characters among Haikyuu!! fans are Hinata, Kageyama, and Oikawa. Hinata is a first-year student, the central blocker in the Karasuno team, and acts as the protagonist of the story. His agility and speed end up positioning him as one of the most important players in the team. Kageyama is also a first-year student and plays as a setter within the Karasuno team. His serious personality and his desire to learn from his mistakes have made him a very charismatic character. Oikawa is a third-year student, a setter and the captain in the Aoba Jousai team. He is known for being the best setter of the prefecture and is very popular among girls in the series.

Reviews

Nendoroid figures of Haikyuu are extremely popular among fans. So much so that more than half of them are “sold out”. This holds true for figures of virtually all members of the Karasuno team. The members of the Aoba Jousai team, the Nekoma and even the Fukurodani team’s figures are often sold out as well. For those that aren’t sold out, manufacturers have carried out a second and even a third release, or “re-run”. The figures of Hinata, Kageyama and Oikawa were relaunched due to their great success. These figures’ cute appearance, dynamic articulation, and a variety of accessories have all helped the success of these Nendoroid figures.
