Pokemon - Figures
Pokemon is a Japanese anime and media franchise that was created in 1995 by The Pokemon Company. The Pokemon Company itself was founded through a partnership between larger corporations such as Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. The anime series has created popular and beloved characters, many of which have been turned into figures, Nendoroids and other such merchandise for fans to enjoy. These figures are often posed in styles reflecting their characters and are often dressed in the character’s iconic clothing as well. A few of the most popular figures from the Pokemon franchise are “The Ash Ketchum & Pikachu Figure Set”, “Figma Pokemon Red”, and “Pokemon Action Figure 2-Pack: Legendary Xerneas & 2 Pikachu”.
The Ash Ketchum & Pikachu Figure Set
The main characters and the most recognizable Pokemon duo come to fans together in this two-pack set. Pikachu, the Pokemon, is posed on all four legs, tail raised behind him, as if ready for battle. Pikachu stands two inches tall. Ash, his Pokemon trainer, is standing with arms up as if ready to direct Pikachu into defeating whatever foe lies ahead of the duo. Ash stands at four inches tall. The design of the characters reflects the Pokemon XY series. This includes Ash’s iconic red hat with the white semicircle and bill, as well as a backpack which includes a slot for Pikachu to slip his feet into in order for users to set the Pokemon on his trainer’s shoulders. Ash also has bendable limbs, making him easier to pose to tell whichever story it user wishes. The figures are manufactured by Vast Inc.

Figma Pokemon Red
Red, the main character of the Pokemon Red and Green games (and their remakes, FireRed and LeafGreen), stands 5 inches tall with a wide-legged stance and a fierce facial expression. Red wears his standard red/white/black shirt, a standard blue pair of jeans, and matching hat and shoes to complete the look. The figure’s joints allow for movement to switch between poses and comes with a figma stand to allow for such various poses to be held without the user. Red also comes with an extra face plate with a confident demeanor as well as the fierce, yelling expression. Along with the figure, this set includes a backpack that can be removed and put upon the figma’s back or arm, as well as one Poke Ball which can be held to allow for more creative and interactive posing to be done with the figure. Red’s package also includes three of the first partner Pokemon- Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

Pokemon Action Figure 2-Pack: Legendary Xerneas & 2” Pikachu
This package features two Pokemon XY series characters: the Legendary fairy-type Pokemon Xerneas and the beloved main character Pikachu. Both figures are delicately painted to present their brightest colors. Xerneas is painted with a beautiful and stoic blue with rainbow-colored antlers and Pikachu with his classic yellow style and a bewildered face painted on to reflect his amazement in seeing Xerneas. The pack also includes an attack tag. The figures are not quite made to scale, so Pikachu stands a little closer to Xerneas’ height than in the actual series. These two figures would be great for recreating scenes set in forests like the movie Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, making the two of them that much more fun to pose and play with. About the Characters
Since the release of the first Pokemon games, many new characters have come and gone with each passing entry. That said, some characters have left quite an impression on fans and are still popular to this day. One such character is Red, the first player character of the game series. His popularity has led him to make multiple appearances in other Pokemon games as well, with the most recent one being in Pokemon Sun and Moon. In the anime series, Red is replaced by a new character, Ash Ketchum, who acts as the main character for every Pokemon anime series. Of course, many fans love the hundreds of different Pokemon as well. Although some Pokemon like Pikachu have been popular since the series began, each new game came with a new set of Legendary Pokemon and a slew of others as well. One such Legendary Pokemon is Xerneas, the Legendary Pokemon from Pokemon X and Y.
About Pokemon
Pokemon is set in a world similar to our own, but filled with a wide variety of Pokemon monsters. Within this world, Pokemon are often captured and trained by trainers to fight in battles to gain control and notoriety among Training Gyms and Leagues alike. The main story of the anime follows Ash Ketchum as he strives to become the greatest Pokemon trainer there is with his trusty Pokemon, Pikachu, beside him each step of the way. He meets and catches all types of Pokemon and gains friends, badges, and fantastical experiences along his journey. The series also has multiple movies and games which can often follow other trainers as the main character and introduce audiences to new and creative Pokemon. The Pokemon universe is always expanding for fans both old and new.
