Fairy Tail - Figures

Fairy Tail, a popular anime series, has released numerous figures as merchandise. These include most of the series’ protagonists, of which there are many. Figures include Lucy Heartfilia, Erza Scarlet, Natsu Dragneel, Wendy Marvell, Mirajane Strauss, Gray Fullbuster, Juvia Lockser, and more. Many of the figures display the characters in dynamic poses which show off their magical powers or distinct personalities, making them very popular among fans. Every character who is a member of the Fairy Tail wizard guild also has the guild’s dragon-shaped insignia tattooed on their body in different colors, depending on the character. Here is a sample of some of the popular figures that have been released and described below. These figures are “Natsu Dragneel 1/7 Scale Figure”, “Gray Fullbuster 1/7 Scale Figure”, and “Erza Scarlet (Battle Ver.)”.

Fairy Tail Natsu Dragneel 1/7 Scale Figure

This figure features Natsu Dragneel, a main character of Fairy Tail, in his signature outfit. Natsu is a mage of the guild and one of the five Dragon Slayers of the anime series. Due to his intensive training and frequent battles, Natsu’s build is extremely muscular. His hair is in its usual style, a bright pink color and spiked up messily with some of it framing his face. His eyes are large, pointed, and focused directly ahead. As usual, he wears a huge smile, as if going into a fight against a frightening opponent. As the Fire Dragon Slayer, Natsu’s power is made up of intense fire and dragon spells. One of Natsu’s favorite phrases during battle, ’I’m all fired up!’, is reserved for after he ‘eats’ fire, which enhances his fire powers. In this figure, Natsu’s right hand is clenched into a fist at his side. The other hand is an open palm that is held up and completely engulfed in flames. He wears an open-chested black vest with golden trim and no under-shirt. He also has billowing gray pants that tie off at the calf with long black ribbon. Matching black material is draped over the pants, also trimmed in gold, and tied at the waist with a brown belt. Around his neck in the famous scarf he was given by his adoptive parent figure, the Dragon Igneel. This scarf is white and has a light gray checkered pattern, which represents dragon scales. The scarf also hides one of the scars Natsu gained in battle, which is on the right side of his neck. He also wears open-toed black sandals with two straps going over the foot and around the ankle. His clothes sway, as if a wind is blowing them to the side.

Fairy Tail Gray Fullbuster 1/7 Scale Figure

Gray Fullbuster is the ice wizard of the Fairy Tail guild and can therefore stand to be in extremely cold temperatures, even without clothes on. As a child, Gray was often trained to take off his clothes in cold weather so that he could brandish his ice-make powers more effectively. Unfortunately, he never stopped this unusual habit, and is therefore often found semi-undressed or in a state of undressing. This especially happens when he is focused on something else. Gray’s black hair is pointed with tufts sticking out messily as his long bangs hang over his forehead. His gaze is direct and serious, eyes slanted in concentration. His mouth is in a slight smirk. His arms are raised, the right hand in a fist meeting an open left hand. This is the pose he takes to fire ice attacks at the enemy. He wears a simple white dress shirt with short sleeves, which is completely open, showing off his bare chest and the deep scar on his right side. Around his neck is a silver chain necklace, which has a sword on it. He wears black full length trousers with a brown belt and a long silver chain attached at the belt buckle and the back pocket. He also has on black dress shoes.

Fairy Tail Erza Scarlet (Battle Ver.)

Erza Scarlet is an S-Class mage of the Fairy Tail guild, meaning she is one of the most powerful guild members. Her power is Requip Magic, which allows her to switch between sets of armor, weapons, and even casual outfits very quickly. She can also control her swords, moving them through the air at lightning speed. Due to her powers, she has had one of the most powerful and diverse wardrobes of the entire anime series. In this figure, Erza is in one of her battle outfits, a light purple kimono with a white flower pattern. The kimono’s sleeves are ripped at the shoulders, but still attached at the forearms, long and flowing. A big purple bow ties the kimono together at her back. Her long red hair is in a half-up half-down style, some in a bun with a hair stick pinned through. Two strands frame her face. She wears thigh-high black stockings that are ripped in a few places. She also has on traditional straw sandals. As this is a battle figure, Erza is posed in a fighting stance, legs bent and gripping a sleek black katana. The katana is angled downwards, as opposed to up, as if she has just slashed through something.

About the Characters

The protagonist, Lucy Heartfilia, is good friends with Natsu Dragneel, Erza Scarlet, and Gray Fullbuster. After she joins the Fairy Tail guild, she tries to train and become more powerful with their help. The group and Natsu’s best friend, Happy (an anthropomorphic cat), form Team Natsu and go on missions together in order to get their wages. Natsu and Gray are also great friends, though they argue with each other and battle to see who is the strongest very often. Since their ice and fire powers clash, neither are ever really successful in their battles against each other. However, they never stop trying. Erza is the more serious member of the group, keeping the others on the right path towards finishing the mission. Since she is an S-Class mage and the most powerful, she has no trouble getting the others to listen to her.

About the Anime

Fairy Tail is a popular anime series developed from the Japanese manga series by Hiro Mashima. The manga series ran 545 total chapters from 2006 to 2017. The anime series was produced by A-1 Pictures, Satelight, Bridge and Cloverworks. It was first released in Japan in October of 2009 until September of 2019. The anime series ran a total of 328 episodes and became internationally recognised. It follows the protagonist, Lucy Heartfilia, in her journey to become a part of the wizard guild, Fairy Tail. She runs away from her controlling father and meets the members of the guild. Through their battles and adventures, they quickly become more like family to Lucy. Wizards of the guild can have different sets of powers and are divided into types, such as ice-make mage, dragon slayer mage, and more. Many mages form teams to go on various missions together.
