OtapediaKonosuba - Figures

The popular series Konosuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! (often shortened to just Konosuba) has had numerous figures following its manga adaptation and anime airing. The illustration for the adaptation is by Masahito Watari and Joseph Yokobori. The anime production was handled by Studio Deen and was aired on Tokyo MX. It is also available on popular streaming services such as Crunchyroll and AnimeLab across several regions, powering the demand of merchandise, figures, Nendoroids and goods of the characters from Konosuba worldwide.

Since Konosuba is an “isekai” series (isekai referring to settings where a regular person is transported to another world), many of these figures have a rather fantastical feel about them, as it is a world where magic and goddesses exist. Some examples of popular figures include the “figma KonoSuba the Movie: Legend of Crimson Darkness”, “KonoSuba 2 Yunyun 1/8 Scale Figure”, and “KonoSuba the Movie: Legend of Crimson Megumin: Bikini Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure”.

figma KonoSuba the Movie: Legend of Crimson Darkness

This figure features the character Dustiness Ford Lalatina (also known as Darkness) as she appears in the Konosuba movie, Legend of the Crimson. She wears her classic yellow Crusader uniform and wears her similarly yellow hair in a ponytail. The flexible plastic and articulated joints allow the figure to be posed to portray many different scenes from the series. Three face plates are also included: a standard calm smile, a more excited, fantasizing smile, and an expression of pure euphoria. Other extra parts in this figure include her sword, sheathe, and a flying cabbage, which can also be attached to the figure as well. Her breastplate and wing-shaped pauldron can be swapped with another piece that shows Darkness after taking damage in battle. An articulated figma stand is also included to allow for even more possibilities for poses.

Her hair is also tied into twintails with red ribbons that rest on her shoulders. This outfit does not include her black cloak, which allows the figure to show off Yunyun’s long, slender legs and appealing figure. Yunyun is also posed with her fingertips pressed together with an adorable smile as she blushes slightly, showing off her cute and gentle personality from the series.

In this figure, Megumin can be seen wearing a rather revealing red bikini under her classic wizard’s hat and black cloak, though the fingerless gloves she usually wears are not seen. She is also holding her staff behind her back, giving the character an overall playful look as she simultaneously messes with the wraps around her legs with her feet. The craftsmanship of the figure and the attention to shadows give the physique of this figure an incredibly realistic look that brings out the lively and energetic characteristics of Megumin’s personality with this playful and cheerful pose.

About the Characters

The two characters Darkness and Megumin are two of the three main female protagonists from the series, which explains their popularity in its figure product line. The Crusader and Arch Wizard both join the party of Satou Kazuma, the main protagonist of the series. Darkness is known to have a personality of a serious, prideful noble, whereas Megumin is playful and lively, causing her to be known as a “crazy-headed girl’. The third character, Yunyun, is a Crimson Demon and acts as a rival to Megumin with a determined, yet caring and gentle personality. They are all portrayed as beautiful young women in the series, which is reflected in the wonderful design of these figures. The characters’ unique outfits, weapons, and other items that viewers are sure to recognize are also often included as well, making them seem like they came straight out of the series.
