About Kurumi Tokisaki
Kurumi Tokisaki is a major character in Date A Live. As the main antagonist, she is very popular, especially with fanboys. Despite her apparent beauty, she's a vicious murderer. Her popularity is likely caused by her being the third spirit in the series, along with her deceptive looks and attitude. She is known for being bold and daring, having murdered over 10,000 people. She has a fierce personality, partly due to her short spirit life, and her need to eat people so that she can have time added to her clock. She is determined to get Shido’s power throughout the series. It's later revealed that Kurumi has a kinder side to her personality as she says she intended to amass just enough power that would be needed to defeat the first spirit that initially caused the spacequake. There are several scenes from the series where she has been provocative and even seductively friendly to Shido. One of her eyes takes the shape of a clock, representing her remaining time. Her hair is very long and her outfit is a gothic lolita style dress, an astral dress. Kurumi can manipulate time and clone herself. She also has the nickname ‘Nightmare’. Her character's daring and seductive antagonistic vibe allowed her to gain many fans. In addition her black and burgundy red outfit with ruffles, along with her bonnet, and twin-tails also makes her character popular among anime cosplayers.
