Fire Emblem - Figures
Fire Emblem is a video game franchise which found popularity outside Japan in 2001. Most recently, a Nintendo DS release (Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem) made the franchise incredibly popular to younger audiences in Japan and the US. Figures featuring popular characters from the new installments of the Fire Emblem saga gave way, indirectly, to a boost in popularity to the previous games and their characters, like Marth and Roy. From a selection of well over a hundred figures, here is an example of popular figures of three major main characters in their respective games. These figures include Awakening Lucina, Edelgard von Hresvelg and Nendoroid Marth.

About the Characters
Marth was the first main character of Fire Emblem, and remained so for many subsequent installments of the saga. He is the prince of the kingdom of Altea, a warrior with a high sense of duty to his kingdom who is entrusted with the task of slaying the Shadow Dragon, a beast that threatens to end his kingdom. He becomes a legend even within the games, eventually becoming King and being the subject of much admiration by the people of Altea.
Lucina is the princess of Ylisse and a distant descendant of Marth. She has a resemblance to Marth and uses this to her advantage when she travels into the past to save her kingdom from impending doom. She covers her face and ties her hair, looking a lot like Marth and taking on his name.
Edelgard von Hresvelg is one of the three main characters of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. She’s an incredible stubborn warrior, and would do anything to accomplish her goal: To reform the current society into one that focuses less on class and more on freedom and the well-being of all citizens. She is encountered many times as an ally and antagonist, depending which route the player is undertaking.
About Fire Emblem
Fire Emblem is a video game franchise that has spawned over fifteen games in the last 30 years. The first game of the franchise, released in 1990 for the Famicom, was Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light in which we are introduced to the fictional kingdom of Altea and to the main character of many installments, Marth. Marth is the prince of Altea and his duty is to protect the kingdom, eventually becoming a hero and the king of Altea.
The Fire Emblem games are considered to be incredibly innovative and are constantly credited for enhancing RPG and tactical-based games in general. After a decrease in popularity, Advance Wars was created as a futuristic-style game in the same vein of Fire Emblem and released for the Game Boy Advance in order to appeal to younger audiences. The game was a massive hit. The last release of the game, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, is the first in years for a home console (Nintendo Switch) with most of the previous ones being for the Nintendo DS.
Marth, the main character of many of the first games, appears in many Super Smash Bros. games, as well as some other characters of the Fire Emblem saga, like Roy.
