OtapediaFate Grand Order - Figures

As an entry in the popular Fate series, Fate/Grand Order saw instant success after it released on Japanese mobile app stores in 2015. Although the franchise has done reasonably well as a whole, Fate/Grand Order itself is nearly a franchise on its own, as it has spawned its own unique cast of characters, anime adaptations, manga, and merchandise. While merchandise like apparel, posters, art prints, cosplay, and such has been created on an incredibly large scale, its cast of characters has led to an unbelievable variety of figures and nendoroids that have been sculpted, manufactured, and released. Since the game’s roster is so impressive, most fans will be able to find a character they enjoy, no matter what their personal tastes are. Some of the most popular figures that are currently available are the “figma Fate/Grand Order Master/Female Protagonist” figure, the “figma Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Co Chulainn” figure, and the “figma Fate/Grand Order Archer/Gilgamesh” figure.

Figma Fate/Grand Order Master/Female Protagonist Figure

This figure from Max Factory features the female version of the playable “Master” protagonist from Fate/Grand Order. This female Master wears the Chaldea outfit, which includes a black skirt and leggings, long white boots, and a white jacket that is held together with black belt straps. The character also has messy, bright orange hair with a cowlick on one side and a side ponytail held with a yellow hair tie on the other. Like many figma figures, this female Master figure is articulated, allowing its user to customize its pose to their liking. Several different pieces included in the figure have different facial expressions to help match the pose the figure is given. Other included parts of the figure include a Summon Ticket, Saint Quartz, and a Golden Apple, which are all items used within the game. A stand is also included with the figure to keep it from falling over.

Though he wears little in terms of armor, a silver pauldron can be seen on each shoulder. His cursed crimson spear, Gáe Bolg, is completely removable and, along with the figure’s articulation, can be used to create a variety of different action poses. The figure also includes a stand to hold the figure up and has several different facial expressions that all show off his confident, fearless personality.

About the Characters

Many characters in Fate/Grand Order are revealed as “Servants”, who are often characters based on legendary heroes from various mythologies and texts from around the world. For example, Gilgamesh is based on the hero from the Epic of Gilgamesh, an ancient Mesopotamian text that dates back to 1800 B.C. In the Fate universe, these legendary heroes are summoned by mages called “Masters” and are often assigned a “class” (e.g. “Saber”, “Archer”, “Lancer”, and so on), which each have their own unique traits that help them in battle.

About Fate/Grand Order

Fate/Grand Order began as a mobile game that launched in Japan in 2015, and later in North America in 2017. Several different anime adaptations have been created by various anime studios, including Lay-duce, Ufotable, and CloverWorks. The story is set in a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction. The Chaldea Security Organization attempts to use both science and magic to predict when humanity will be destroyed and attempts to prevent it before it happens. They find that the extinction of humanity revolves around the Holy Grail Wars that occur in several different points in humanity’s past and future. They send a young Master (who’s default name is Ritsuka Fujimaru) to these points of time in an attempt to obtain the seven Holy Grails and prevent the destruction of humanity. Fate/Grand Order has been downloaded over 1 million times and continues to be one of the most popular gacha-style mobile games to date.
