About the Characters
The most popular characters among Tokyo Ghoul fans are Kaneki, Kirishima and Suzuya. Kaneki is the main character of the series. His extremely complex personality and strength have made him very popular in the anime fandom. Kirishima is a ghoul, student, and a waitress in the cafe Anteiku. Her violent attitude comes from having to live a double life: a human and a ghoul one. Her cold and distant personality, as well as her extraordinary combat skills, made her highly acclaimed by fans. About Tokyo Ghoul
Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese anime series produced by Pierrot, directed by Shuhei Morita and broadcasted on Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, TVQ, TVO and AT-X from July 2014 to December 2018. It is based on the manga series of the same name that is created by Sui Ishida. In Tokyo, there are mysterious murders committed by ghouls, unknown beings who eat human flesh. Kaneki, a young university student, meets a girl whom he invites to go out. However, he realizes that she is a ghoul. Due to the wounds that he suffered after this encounter, he was given a transplant using organs from the same girl. As such, he becomes a human-ghoul hybrid and his body starts to change. As the story progresses, Kaneki will meet many other ghouls and humans who want to confront him. He must learn how to live in a world dominated by humans that hunt ghouls to the death.
