The Quintessential Quintuplets is a love comedy series where there are 5 main heroines and only one male lead. The male lead, Futaro Uesugi, is a smart yet poor student. He decides to take on a tutoring job with great pay and finds out his students are the same age and quintuplets who are all bad at studying. The author of this series is Negi Haruba and the manga was published on the 9th of August 2017. Since the series was widely popular an anime was released with a second anime season released afterward. One of the quintuplets is a young girl named Nino Nakano who is the second oldest out of the siblings. She held the most animosity against Futaro at the beginning but is the most social out of her sisters. Her prickly attitude in contrast to her mother-like tendencies of cooking and taking care of her sisters makes her a popular character. The stylish second sister Nino Nakano arrives in the form of a cute Nendoroid. She wears her Asahiyama High School uniform with her signature twin butterfly-shaped hair ribbons. Since she is the only one out of her siblings to cut her hair then fans can enjoy two different versions of Nino. She is able to be displayed with her long salmon pink hair or her short shoulder-length hair.
She comes with three different face plates; a slightly pouting face, an embarrassed face, and a mocking face. These facial features suit the tsundere character she has when she is acting prickly or sweet. Nino can also hold her rabbit-shaped phone and be posed in different situations with the optional arm parts.

About Nino Nakano
Nino is the second oldest of the Nakano quintuplets. Her name ‘Ni’ (二) means two and ‘No’ (乃) means from. She is the only one to cut her hair during the series.
About Nino Nakano: Background
Nino was the most hostile toward Futaro when he was first hired to be the quintuplet's tutor. She was quite aggressive when she thought Futaro had followed Itsuki back home and was her stalker. Together with Miku she stood in front of their apartment and tried to confront him as to why he was following them.
She can be quite extreme in her ways of trying to get Futaro to leave which can be seen when she drugs his drinks to make him fall asleep. She is good at cooking and joked about putting poison into the food she gave Futaro and tried to scare him and threaten him.
While she can act cold and hostile at times, she is a very caring girl at heart. Since she cares so much about her family she greatly dislikes it when Futaro comes into their home and disrupts their daily life. Nino has even kept her long hair the same length from when the quintuplets were children with the same appearance and the same personality.
Although she acts bold and confident, in truth she is scared of the change in her family. She liked it when the quintuplets were all the same and could understand each other's feelings without having to say anything. Nino is worried about whether they are still the same sisters she knew as a child. However, her willingness to change and take a step forward can be seen when she cuts her hair short.
About Nino Nakano: Abilities
Nino is an exceptionally great cook. She takes care of her sisters' meals and they all have their individual likes and dislikes making it difficult to cook for them. In addition to daily meals, Nino is also good at baking sweets and can be seen making a large variety of sweets throughout the series.
She is also a very outgoing character and can make many friends. Her social activities sometimes are more important to her than studying. However, her social skills can be seen in her studies as her best subject is English. A skill that would allow her to communicate with many different people.

Nino is someone who cares about her family the most. She doesn’t mind if she is hated by her sisters as long as it will stay as just the 5 of them.
Miku Nakano
Miku and Nino are shown to not have a good relationship. They are always bickering and fighting but despite the fights, their relationship is not strained at all. The two of them are honest with each other and don’t hesitate to point out each other's behaviors allowing them to have an honest and straightforward connection.
Itsuki Nakano
Nino’s relationship with Itsuki is most likely the closest out of the quintuplets. They have similar interests and enjoy spending time together. Since these two are the closest they can sometimes have big fights that result in the two of them running away for a while. Despite the big fights they have, they will always make up and become close once again.
