OtapediaTokyo Revengers - Nendoroid

Out of the many different manga series that are published in recent years, one of the series that has gained one of the biggest followings would be Tokyo Revengers. This Japanese gang and supernatural series is written and illustrated by Ken Wakui and was first published in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017. Due to the success of the manga, an anime adaptation produced by Liden Films was aired in 2021 as well. Because of the popularity of both the manga and the anime adaptation, manufacturers like Good Smile Company and their Nendoroid produced several figures of characters from Tokyo Revengers. Some of the most popular Nendoroid figures from Tokyo Revengers include the "Nendoroid Tokyo Revengers Draken (Ken Ryuguji)" and the "Nendoroid Tokyo Revengers Mikey (Manjiro Sano)".

This uniform consists of a black jacket with his rank as the founding vice-president of the gang embroidered in gold along the sleeves. In addition, this figure also includes additional accessories like the Tokyo Manji Gang flag, a plate of curry with rice, and a bike are also included to let its owner make even more possible poses.

Tokyo Revengers is a currently ongoing manga series created by Ken Wakui and published in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story focuses on Takemichi Hanagaki's attempts to change the present by using his unique ability to travel into the past.

About Tokyo Revengers: Story

The story of Tokyo Revengers focuses on Takemichi Hanagaki, currently a 26 year old man who attempts to make ends meet by working miscellaneous part-time jobs. One day, however, he learns that his girlfriend from middle school, Hinata Tachibana, had allegedly been killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang, which Takemichi used to be a member of. After getting pushed into an oncoming train by a hooded figure, Takemichi realizes that he has the ability to travel back in time to his middle school years and change past events. After returning to the present once again, he is found by Naoto Tachibana, his former girlfriend's younger brother and a detective attempting to understand the murders caused by the Tokyo Manji Gang.

About Tokyo Revengers: Characters

The main protagonist of Tokyo Revengers is Takemichi Hanagaki, a young man who had lost his way in life and was simply trying to make ends meet in modern society. He is generally seen as kind, though those close to him often call him a crybaby. Under the right conditions, however, he shows that he can have an indomitable will. During his time reliving the past, he becomes friends with both Ken "Draken" Ryuguji and Manjiro "Mikey" Sano, the founding members of the Tokyo Manji Gang. Other notable characters in the series include Hinata Tachibana, Takemichi's middle school girlfriend, and Naoto Tachibana, Hinata's younger brother and a detective in the organized crime department in Tokyo.

Around three years after the manga began, an anime adaptation of the original manga was greenlit and set to air beginning in April 2021. This adaptation was produced by Liden Films and directed by Koichi Hatsumi. This series lasted a total of 24 episodes and was followed up by an announcement saying that a season two of the adaptation covering the "Christmas Showdown" arc was also greenlit for production.
