The Master of Diabolism is a popular Chinese series with an animation released on the 9th of July 2018. It was based on a web novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. Many characters appear throughout the story and one of the main characters is Lan Wanji. He is a very popular character with very beautiful and handsome features. His personality is on the cold side but he cares deeply for his loved ones and fellow members of his sect. Within the story, he is seen many times fighting with Wei Wuxian, the other main character, because of their personality differences. The strict guqin user Lan Wanji joins the Nendoroid family. He wears his usual sect uniform which is often called mourning clothes due to its white and simple design. The robes are mainly white in color with light blue highlights and cloud patterns. His white headband also has cloud patterns to signify he is from the main branch of the Gusu Lan Sect.

About Lan Wangji
Lan Wanji is one of the main characters of the series. He is part of the Gusu Lan Clan with the title “Hanguang-Jun” which means “to hold light”.
About Lan Wangji: Background
Lan Wanji was brought up in the Gusu Lan Sect as the second young master. He and his older brother, Lan Xichen, were raised by their uncle. When their father was young and a famous cultivator he fell passionately in love with their mother. Their father had become drowned in love and secluded himself leaving all the clan duties to his brother.
Due to the destructive behavior of Lan Wanji’s father, their uncle raised them strictly so they wouldn’t follow in their father’s footsteps. The boys were only permitted to see their mother once a month which they greatly looked forward to. The mother enjoyed teasing Lan Wanji who was stoic even as a young child. When Lan Wanji was six-years-old his mother died but he didn’t understand what that meant. Every month he continued to sit outside her door waiting and even after he understood his mother was dead he still continued to sit outside her door.
About Lan Wangji: Abilities
Lan Wanji is a very powerful and talented cultivator. He has mastered the techniques of his Gusu Lan Clan and has a high level of cultivation. Lan Wanji mainly uses a guqin as his weapon which has many uses that aren’t just for attacking revengeful spirits. He can release sound waves as an attack when he strums his instrument as well as use it to speak the language of the spirits and ask lost souls for information.
He also possesses a sword called Bichen which he can use without having to unsheath it himself. Lan Wanji can stand on his sword to fly around and use it as a means of transportation. He is also very skilled with the bow and arrow. During a competition, despite leaving the competition early he still placed very highly.

Wei Wuxian is the main character of the series and is a very carefree character. He is arrogant due to his talent and ability which often gets him into trouble. When he was young, he would often clash with Lan Wanji due to their differences in opinion.
Lan Xichen
Lan Xichen is Lan Wanji’s older brother. He isn’t as strict as his younger brother and always has a calm and collected smile. Lan Xichen cares greatly for his brother and understands his brother’s feelings probably better than Lan Wanji himself. Lan Xichen is a very loyal character and helps Lan Wanji greatly with his travels.
