Holo Spice and Wolf - Nendoroid
Although the original light novel series was first published in 2006, the Spice and Wolf series remains one of the most well-known franchises in the otaku community. While it may not have the intense and attention-grabbing action in other series like Dragon Ball, Fullmetal Alchemist, or Naruto, many remember Spice and Wolf for its medieval European-influenced setting, focus on economics, and one of its main characters, the wolf goddess of the harvest, Holo.
Throughout the run of the original light novels, the manga, and the anime series, Holo in particular would gain a sizable following among fans and, as a result, had a diverse selection of merchandise made based on her. One such type of merchandise includes figures from manufacturers like Good Smile Company and their Nendoroid line. The "Nendoroid Spice & Wolf Holo (Re-run)" is currently the only release of a Holo Nendoroid and was first released in June 2019.
Nendoroid Spice & Wolf Holo (Re-run)
This figure of Holo takes the goddess of wheat and recreates her as an adorable collectible figure with all of the expected features of a standard entry in the Nendoroid series. Details like Holo's wolf ears, her amber hair, and her fluffy tail are all accurately represented in this Nendoroid. Although Holo wears a variety of different outfits in Spice and Wolf, this figure features her purple shirt, black dress, and red belt. In addition, this figure set also includes extra accessories like an apple, a mug of wine, a hat to hide her ears, and a selection of face plates to change her expression from smiling to teasing, to tipsy. It also comes with several sets of arms to let its owner recreate their favorite poses from the series.

About Holo
Holo is a central character in the Spice and Wolf series and is the traveling companion and romantic interest of the protagonist, Kraft Lawrence.
About Holo: Background
Holo is a wolf spirit who is originally from the northern region of Yoitsu. That said, at the beginning of Spice and Wolf, she resides in a village called Pasloe and acts as their local goddess of harvest. Although she once bestowed bountiful harvests to the villagers, the people of Pasloe eventually learned better agricultural techniques and began to rely on Holo less and less. As a result, Holo began to feel neglected and eventually decided to abandon Pasloe and accompany a traveling merchant named Kraft Lawrence. Throughout their travels, Holo shows that she is quite experienced when it comes to negotiating, economics, and manipulation. In addition, Holo quickly makes it known that she has a fondness for alcohol, apples, and teasing Kraft.
About Holo: Abilities
As a goddess of harvest, Holo has several unique abilities that set her apart from humans. One of the more obvious abilities she has is the ability to speed up the growth of crops. Although she can make a given crop like wheat grow nearly instantly if needed, doing so would essentially make the soil barren, as she cannot replace the nutrients used by the crops. As such, Holo simply helped the crops in Pasloe grow well, yet at a natural rate. Aside from this ability, Holo's nature as a wolf spirit also grants her heightened senses and the ability to transform into a giant, ferocious wolf.
Other Important Spice and Wolf Characters
Although Holo encounters a wide cast of characters throughout her travels, two of the most important characters she meets include Kraft Lawrence and Tote Col.
Kraft Lawrence
Kraft Lawrence is a 25-year-old traveling merchant who has a dream of one day earning enough money to settle down in a town and open up his own shop. After peddling some of his wares in Pasloe, he ends up finding Holo in his cart. The two strike up a conversation and Lawrence eventually agrees to let her travel with him to her homeland of Yoitsu. Lawrence originally grew up in a rather poor village, which resulted in him living a particularly frugal lifestyle. That said, he is well learned in his craft and even has some things that he can teach Holo at times.
Tote Col
Tote Col is a character who joins Holo and Lawrence in their travels as they sail on the Roam River in the fifth volume of the light novel. He is first introduced as a young boy who fell victim to a swindler who sold him forged papers to get through a toll along the Roam River. Despite only being in his early teens, Col quickly shows that he has a notably quick wit and intelligence, which Holo and Lawrence both applaud. After joining the pair, Col often acted as a mediator for both Lawrence and Holo whenever they would fight, resulting in the couple eventually making up once again. Col also acts as the protagonist for the sequel light novel series, Wolf and Parchment: New Theory Spice and Wolf.
