OtapediaEugeo Sword Art Online - Nendoroid

The Sword Art Online franchise is a name known throughout the anime community since the first season of the anime adaptation aired in July 2012. While the series got its start as a web novel series in 2002, the A-1 Pictures anime adaptation thrust it into the spotlight, where it gained a massive following around the world. With the success of Sword Art Online as a franchise, manufacturers were eager to create plenty of merchandise based on the series' many characters. Good Smile Company is one such manufacturer that is particularly known for its Nendoroid line of figures. While there are several characters with Nendoroid figures, one particularly notable character is Eugeo, who made his debut in the Alicization arc of the series. His character would be recreated with the release of the "Nendoroid Sword Art Online: Alicization Eugeo".

About Eugeo

Eugeo is one of the deuteragonists of the Alicization arc of Sword Art Online and was introduced as Kirito's childhood friend when they were children.

About Eugeo: Background

Eugeo is a character who grew up along with Kirito and Alice Zuberg in Rulid Village. Here, the three went about their days living generally happy lives where the two boys would work together and attempt to cut down the Gigas Cedar while Alice would study the Sacred Arts and bring them lunch. Among the others in the group, Eugeo was often seen as the most empathetic and kind, causing him to often offer help to those in need. That said, he once believed that the laws of their world were absolute and were not to be broken. As he spends more time with Kirito, however, he comes to believe that there are times when rules can be broken. After Kirito and Eugeo eventually cut down the Gigas Cedar six years later, Eugeo tells everyone that he desires to become a swordsman, which he sets out to accomplish along with Kirito.

About Eugeo: Abilities

When attempting to cut down the Gigas Cedar, Kirito taught Eugeo several sword-fighting techniques that he had learned during his time in Aincrad from the original Sword Art Online game. This style, simply called Aincrad-style, is Kirito's signature style and focuses on using one-handed strikes. In addition, Eugeo eventually learns how to use <>, a skill that Kirito learned that lets him chain skills together by canceling the end of a skill's animation by activating another skill at the right time. After learning how to use the Blue Rose Sword, Eugeo can also use the sword's <> which can cover a vast area in thorns of ice. Furthermore, when commanded, this art can also sap the life from targets to grow blue roses.

Other Important Sword Art Online Characters

Out of the rather large cast of characters in the Sword Art Online series, two of the most important include Kirito (Kazuto Kirigaya) and Asuna Yuuki.

Kirito (Kazuto Kirigaya)

Kazuto Kirigaya is the main protagonist of the main Sword Art Online series. Although he was born as Kazuto Narusaka, he was adopted by his aunt from a young age and took Kirigaya as his family name. His aunt worked as an editor for a technology-related magazine, which caused Kazuto's curiosity in computers to begin at a rather young age. This eventually resulted in him becoming one of the beta testers for the first "full-dive" virtual reality MMORPG, Sword Art Online. Here, Kazuto named his avatar "Kirito'', a portmanteau of the beginning of his family name and the end of his given name, which he would continue to use in future games. Generally speaking, many see Kirito as an individual who can come off as blunt and rude, but kind and willing to help others deep down. After surviving the original Sword Art Online "death game", Kirito seems to always be pulled back to unusual VR-related mysteries.

Asuna Yuuki

Asuna Yuuki is the main heroine of the Sword Art Online series and is in a romantic relationship with Kirito. She is first introduced in the Aincrad arc when she meets Kirito several weeks after every player became trapped inside of the titular game. As time went on, Asuna raised her stats rather quickly and became one of the sub-leaders of the prestigious and powerful guild known as the Knights of the Blood. While most other players recognize Asuna for her speed and mastery of the rapier, Asuna also maxed out her skills in cooking as well. After the Aincrad arc, Asuna would later become friends with several of the other female characters of the series, like Lisbeth (Rika Shinozaki) and Sinon (Shino Asada).
