Touken Ranbu Online is a very popular mobile game where you can collect various handsome characters known as Touken Danshi. The characters to appear in the game are famous Japanese swords personified and given a personality and human appearance. It is a free-to-play game developed by Nitroplus and DMM Games. Thanks to the game's huge success it gained an anime adaption on the 3rd of October 2016 which was produced by Doga Kobo. Nendoroid Butai Touken Ranbu Giden Akatsuki no Dokuganryu Tsurumaru Kuninaga
From the stage play comes Tsurumaru in his dark form. His usual pretty white colors have been inverted to black showing his dark appearance. While his appearance is still beautiful there is a slightly sinister feeling that comes from the black coloring.
The Tsurumaru Nendoroid comes with three different face plates to enjoy. Firstly there is his usual gentle expression, next is a sidelong glance, and lastly is a grinning face as he looks ready to battle. There are also various optional parts such as his long tachi that has also changed into black (comes sheathed and unsheathed) and a black umbrella with his name printed on the top in gold writing.

The original sword is a very beautiful white katana and it is where his design is based from. Tsurumaru is often dressed in white giving a majestic and crane-like feeling. He was forged by a swordsmith called Kuninaga Gojou which is where his name came from. The sword is very beautiful and has even been dug out of a grave in order to be obtained.

Tsurumaru is a powerful sword to have and while his range is narrow his leadership can get up to a max of 66 when he is at his basic level. When he is upgraded to the kiwame level his leadership can be a max level of 124 making him very useful.
