Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! mostly known by its shortened name KonoSuba began as a popular light novel series that was written by Akatsuki Natsume and illustrated by Mishima Kurone. NEET Kazuma Satou dies a pathetic and unceremonious death and is given the option to reincarnate into another world. He accepts and as a bonus, he is given an overpowered item to aid him in his quest. Out of spite, he chooses the goddess Aqua and the unlikely duo is thrust into their new life of adventure in a fantasy world where he is tasked to defeat the Demon King. It is a story full of comedy and laughs, while it is part of the popular ‘isekai’ genre, the unique storyline gained much attention with much merchandise produced.

The series has so far been adapted into an anime by Studio DEEN, three ongoing manga series, as well as some games. There have also been three spinoff series that feature various side characters.

Yunyun is a secondary character of the KonoSuba series, acting as a sort of rival to Megumin. She is part of the same Crimson Magic Clan as Megumin who has mixed feelings toward her eccentric clan. While Yunyun doesn’t act as crazy and weird as the rest of her clan members she still has some eccentric behaviors as she tries to hide her embarrassing past. She is someone who is worried about others' thoughts about her and Yunyun struggled to make friends for most of her life, leading her to get over-excited at the possibility of making new friends. Since she is part of an eccentric clan she assumes many people judge her and think the worst of her.

Kazuma Satou is the protagonist of the KonoSuba series. He was a shut-in who rarely left his house. This changed after he was transported to a fantasy world, after which he became more sociable and adventurous. Kazuma often acts sarcastically and is blunt towards the other members of his group, particularly Aqua. At first, he was very excited to be reincarnated into a fantasy world of magic, however, he learned the hard truth about being an adventurer. He had a hard time making money and trying to defeat monsters wasn’t as easy as the games and stories he had read. Kazuma quickly becomes pessimistic about his new life and doesn’t hold back when being cynical toward his useless teammates.

Since the overpowered explosion magic is the only one she can use she is powerful yet useless at the same time. She can act very childish at times, often lacking self-control, particularly when explosions are involved.
