Kenma rejoins the Nendoroid line as part of the Haikyu!! school uniform series. His Nekoma uniform has been faithfully recreated. About Kenma Kozume

Kenma Kozume is a second year student at Nekoma High School. Despite his lack of athletic skills, he's the volleyball team's official setter. He prefers video games but starts to find enjoyment in volleyball after meeting Shoyo Hinata.

About Kenma Kozume: Background

Kenma is quiet, solitary, and very observant. He prefers to spend most of his time alone due to his shyness and difficulty making friends. As a result, he tends to keep his opinions to himself and struggles with showing his feelings. However, he does care deeply for those he considers friends, particularly Tetsuro Kuroo.

Most of the time, Kenma plays video games and prefers to skip out on extra practice whenever possible. Despite his hatred of sweating and getting tired, Kenma hates losing even more. His competitive streak earns the respect of his difficult teammates and fuels his analytical playmaking. Over time, Kenma admits that he enjoys volleyball more than he thought he would and he tries hard, not for himself, but for his friends.

About Kenma Kozume: Abilities

Kenma earned a reputation as the "brain" of Nekoma. His concern for what others think of him helped Kenma develop exceptional observational skills. During games, he uses this talent to pick up on his opponents' behavior and anticipate their moves. He has incredible game sense and prefers to look for any hole in the opposing team's defense rather than go for easy points.

Despite his excellent game sense and technique, Kenma lacks the same athletic skills as his teammates. However, he does have solid digging and receiving skills due to Coach Nekomata's training. Kenma can pull off his strategies due to the solid foundation and support from his teammates. Their reciprocal trust in each other allows for Nekoma's newfound success during Kenma's second year.

Tetsuro Kuroo

Tetsuro Kuroo is a third year at Nekoma High School and the volleyball team's captain. He earned a reputation as the "scheming captain" due to his cunning and provocative nature. Kuroo and Kenma are childhood friends.

In elementary school, Kenma started playing volleyball after asking Kuroo if he had a game he'd like to play. Despite his dislike of sports, Kenma surprisingly enjoyed volleyball and watching games on discs with Kuroo. After Kuroo's team lost a difficult match, Kenma offered to help Kuroo "level up" through practice. Eventually, Kuroo convinced Kenma to join his school team through middle school and high school.

Shoyo Hinata

Shoyo Hinata is a first year at Karasuno High School and the series' protagonist. Despite his short height, Hinata's dream is to play volleyball and become his school's ace. Hinata and Kenma became friends due to a chance meeting before the practice match between Nekoma and Karasuno.

When they met, Kenma told Hinata he didn't especially have fun playing volleyball. Hinata then swore to Kenma that he would make Kenma admit that volleyball was fun. Hinata's wild athletic skill and innovative play style makes him an interesting opponent for Kenma to observe. Kuroo teases Kenma, saying Kenma looks as engaged as he does during a good video game when watching Hinata.
