Re:Zero - Life in a Different World from Zero is a web novel series written by Nagatsuki Tappei which he began publishing on Shousetsuka ni Narou in April 2012. The series later received a light novel adaptation published by Media Factory in January 2014 and has since spanned over 21 volumes.

The series follows the story of Subaru Natsuki, a shut-in high schooler who is suddenly transported into a fantasy world. Subaru soon finds himself tangled in a series of unfortunate events, leading to his death. After experiencing the pain of death and then opening his eyes to see a familiar sight he knows something is going on. He soon realizes that he has gained a strange ability: when he dies, he can return to a previous point in time, in order to change his fate.

The series also received an anime adaptation produced by White Fox, with a 25-episode first season airing during Spring 2016. A second season is slated to be airing in Spring 2020.

Rem is one of the twin oni maids of the Mathers mansion and an ally to Subaru Natsuki. She is the younger twin sister and loves her older sister very much. Due to a past event where her sister sacrificed so much to let her live Rem feels very indebted to her sister Ram and respects her immensely. At first, she is very reserved and didn’t place her trust in Subaru upon first meeting him. After Subaru almost dies trying to protect Rem, she opens up to him and eventually confesses her feelings to him. She then becomes one of Subaru’s closest allies and trusts him wholeheartedly.

Admire the sight of the cute oni servant wearing her usual maid outfit. This figure includes three alternate face plates; Rem’s neutral expression, her cheerful smiling expression, and finally her crazed ‘oni’ expression. The oni expression comes with a different front hair piece that shows a small white horn growing on her forehead and her bangs that usually cover one eye are split showing both of her intensely focused eyes. This figure also includes two flails, one with a static curved chain and one with a real chain. The extra hand parts allow her to hold her weapons and a small tray she uses to serve people.

#732 Ram

Ram is one of the twin oni maids of the Mathers mansion and is an ally to Subaru Natsuki. Ram is slightly more open to strangers compared to her younger sister but is still cautious of Subaru upon his entrance to the mansion. She quickly becomes a trusted ally to Subaru, much like her twin sister. In contrast to her kind and polite sister, Ram is on the sadistic side and can easily say harsh words without batting an eye.

#751 Emilia

Emilia is the secondary protagonist of the Re:Zero series, and is a candidate for the Lugnica Royal Selection. She has a spirit companion, Puck, who is contracted to her and helps her use magic. She is one of the first people Subaru meets upon arriving in the world, and she quickly becomes Subaru's primary source of motivation, as he strives to protect her. Her kind and angel-like behavior attracts Subaru’s attention and he constantly praises her for it. Despite her good nature, she is judged for being a half-elf which she greatly dislikes.
