Ojamajo Doremi, or as it is alternatively titled Magical DoReMi is a magical girl anime series created by Toei Animation. The series follows Doremi Harukaze and her friends as she becomes a witch apprentice under Majo Rika. It is a very popular show for young girls to watch and is of the typical magical girl genre.

Initially airing on TV Avashi in 1999, four seasons of the animation were produced, with the final 201st episode being aired in early 2003. In 2005 an English dub of the first season was produced by the American licensing company 4Kids Entertainment.

Since the original animation, an OVA series that featured 13 episodes was released in 2004 named Ojamajo Doremi Na-i-sho. And after nearly 15 long years, the series animation would be revived as an ONA series. Still under Toei, Ojamajo Doremi: Owarai Gekijō was released between March 2019 and March 2020 and featured 26 episodes.

History of Magical DoReMi Nendoroids

With the series initial debut in 1999, the anime has been revived recently with all new Nendoroids joining the merchandise line in 2020. With Doremi being the first to release in late 2019, four of her friends are joining the collection throughout the year 2020.

#1132 Hazuki Fujiwara

Fujiwara is Doremi's best friend and one of the main characters of the series. Their relationship goes back to when both were in kindergarten. After following her best friend and seeing her use magic, she joins Doremi in becoming an apprentice witch. While being seen as the smartest student in the school, she is also kind and caring to others around her. Due to her timid nature, she is often called naive however she is quite knowledgeable since she was brought up in a wealthy family and required to learn many activities. Her color theme is orange with goes with her magical crystal being named the Orange Heart.

Fujiwara comes with her spell-casting Sweet Poron and a wearable set of solid white glasses with a shining sparkle effect. Her broomstick is also included and Fujiwara can be posed to mount on top of it as it floats through the air with the supporting beams. Three faceplates are also included to change her expression between a standard smiling face, a smiling face with her eyes closed, and a shocked expression.

#1168 Aiko Seno

Seno is a transfer student who originally came from Osaka. Due to her parents being divorced, she wishes greatly for them to live together again, but because of this complication, Seno has since learned many skills to help sustain herself in an everyday life. Despite her complicated family circumstances, she is a very bright and cheerful girl. She has a bold personality and while she doesn't mean to, she can sometimes come off as rude. Her color theme is blue and has a magical crystal named Blue Diamond.

Seno comes with her Sweet Poron as a holdable prop item to display her casting spells, as well as a rideable broom to display her holding it and riding through the air. A minute figure of Hana is also included as an additional prop which can be displayed on its own mount point. Three faceplates are also included in the package, allowing her to display her standard smile, an angry expression, and a winking expression where she smiles and shows all her teeth. The alternate hand parts allow for her to pose while pointing her finger, holding an item, or just with her hands loose and relaxed.

#1226 Onpu Segawa

Segawa is an apprentice of Majo Ruka who is the rival and younger twin sister of Majo Rika. While being known as a famous Japanese idol, she neglects others in her everyday life, only ever being able to become kind to others as she becomes more acquainted with Doremi and her friends. She is a friendly character who can be quite selfish at times but gradually learned to become better. Segawa is very dedicated to her job of being an idol and worries whether she is good enough and might be replaced. Her theme color is Purple, with her magical crystal being named Purple Teardrop.

#1237 Momoko Asuka

Asuka joined the animation in the show's third series, being a Japanese-American transfer student from New York, she understands a very small amount of the Japanese language and culture. Using a translator intercom, however, she is able to freely communicate with Doremi and her friends. At first, she was thought to be a quiet character due to the difficulties in communicating but as the girls became closer Asuka’s energetic and outgoing nature became apparent. Despite her silly behavior she is quite intelligent and always gets good grades and enjoys studying. Her theme color is Yellow and holds the Yellow Triangle magical crystal.
