Sword Art Online 1 - Nendoroid

Sword Art Online is a web novel series written by Reki Kawahara that began in 2001. The series has since been adapted into a light novel series by ASCII Media Works, and a widely popular anime series by A-1 Pictures.

The series follows Kazuto Kirigaya, a gamer who gets trapped in Sword Art Online, a fantasy VRMMO (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online game), along with nearly 10,000 other people. He sets out on his journey to escape the game along with the other players, with one main obstacle: if you die in the game, you die in real life.

#283 Asuna

Asuna Yuuki is one of the main characters in the Sword Art Online series. Asuna was one of the 10,000 players that were trapped within the VRMMO Sword Art Online during the series’ Aincrad Arc. After realizing she would forever be trapped in the game until it was finished, she gave her best effort playing as a Clearer player, meaning she was one of the players who risked her life to continue challenging the new stages in order to complete the game. She didn’t want to waste her youth, knowing that any day spent in the virtual world is a day lost in the physical world.

At the start, Asuna did not particularly care about her life after learning she was stuck in the game world however, her thoughts started to change after meeting Kazuto the protagonist. Asuna was originally a kind yet prideful girl. Her outlook on life didn’t change her personality as she stayed as a very caring character who couldn’t stand watching people get hurt or die in front of her. She was part of the guild Knights of the Blood and held enough skill that she was made into the sub-leader. Asuna’s weapon of choice is the rapier, and her signature rapier was known as the Lambent Light. Asuna earned the nickname of “the Flash” thanks to her high-speed fighting style.

#295 Kirito

Kazuto Kirigaya, known most commonly as his nickname Kirito online, is the lead protagonist of the Sword Art Online series. He was one of the players to play the beta version where he tested what the game would be like. Thanks to his prior experience he has slightly more knowledge at the beginning but it also caused him to be an outcast even though he purposefully took on that role to calm the situation.

Kirito typically remains calm, even in tense situations, though he can occasionally let his emotions get the better of him. He is a very kind person who always wants to help whoever is in trouble even if he has to act like the bad guy. Kirito is known as the "Black Swordsman", thanks to his signature all-black outfit. He has the unique ability to dual-wield swords, and his weapons of choice are the Elucidator and the Dark Repulser. This figure features Kirito in his outfit from the Aincrad arc of the series.

The Nendoroid Kirito figure includes three face plates; a standard expression, a combat expression, and a hopeless expression. His hopeless expression beautifully conveys his despair with his eyes slightly clouded over and it is an expression the audience sees whenever he loses a dear friend in the game. The figure also includes Kirito’s ‘Dark Repulser’ sword, two versions of his ‘Elucidator’ sword, a healing potion part, and a small ‘Ragout Rabbit’ figure.

#452 Sinon

Shino Asada more commonly known by her online nickname of "Sinon" is the secondary protagonist of Sword Art Online's Phantom Bullet arc. She is a calm and collected person, rarely letting her emotions control her.
