Naruto began as a manga by Masashi Kishimoto. It follows the titular Naruto Uzumaki, a loud and hyperactive adolescent ninja in a world filled with ninja villages. He seeks approval, recognition, and to become Hokage (the leader and strongest ninja in the village). Over time he and his friends must overcome great peril in dealing with enemies who have plans that span years and decades.

The original manga was published in Shōnen Jump in 1999. It was later adapted into an anime that followed the manga closely. As the anime caught up to the manga, it began airing anime-only episodes for 85 episodes before finally moving back into manga-adapted episodes. The anime series was renamed into Naruto: Shippūden (literally translating into Naruto Hurricane Chronicles). On top of that 11 movies have been made for the series as well as other spinoff series and games (popular and long-running in its own right).

Naruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of the Naruto series. He is a shinobi who houses the power of the legendary Nine-Tailed Fox within him, giving him the characteristic whisker pattern on his cheeks. Since he holds the powerful spiritual beast within himself, it causes many of the villagers to fear him which turns into hatred. Naruto did not have a happy upbringing and was constantly looked at with disgust. He only had a few people who wouldn’t judge him and talk with him. Despite his suffering, he didn’t grow to hate his village and instead wanted to become stronger so everyone would acknowledge him. This figure features Naruto in his outfit from Naruto: Shippūden.

When he uses Senjutsu a skill of harnessing nature chakra his features become frog-like resulting in the horizontal lines in his pupil. On the other hand, when he channels the power from the Nine-Tailed Fox his features become feline. The whiskers on his cheeks become prominent and his pupils turn into vertical lines.

He comes with effect parts for his Rasengan and Rasenshuriken techniques which are both made of translucent material. In addition, he comes with a number of interchangeable wrist parts to show off various hand seals. Lastly, a special illustrated sheet of the tailed beast Kurama is also included for posing purposes. Sasuke Uchiha is Naruto's rival and one of the last remaining members of the Uchiha clan. As a member of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke has access to the unique Sharingan technique, giving him greatly increased perception and allowing him to copy certain abilities he witnesses. In order to get revenge on his brother Itachi who brutally murdered their whole clan, Sasuke became obsessed with power. He needed to become stronger than his genius brother, leading Sasuke to turn to Orochimaru for help. This figure features Sasuke in his outfit from Naruto: Shippūden after he has left the village to join Orochimaru.

Nendoroid Sasuke comes equipped with his Chidori technique as an extra effect part as well as his blade accessory. Special Susanoo effect parts are included along with a special illustration to complete Sasuke's fully awakened Mangekyou Sharingan. Last (but not least), he also comes with Union Sign hand parts that allow him and Naruto to complete the scene that never was.
