Yuri!!! on Ice is an animated TV series produced by MAPPA in 2016. The series follows figure skater Yuri Katsuki, his coach and idol Victor Nikiforov and his rival Yuri Plisetsky through the Figure Skating Grand Prix alongside their relationships throughout the event. The series starts with Yuri Katsuki, a 23-year-old skater in Japan losing in the Grand Prix Final and putting his career on hold. But while casually skating with his friend, he perfectly recreates a scene by his idol Victor Nikiforov. Unbeknownst to him this performance was recorded and uploaded online by a bystander, as Victor himself finds the clip, he decides that he would offer to be Yuri's coach to bring him back into professional skating.

The series gained critical success online with a large international following, in part due to its broadcast on the Crunchyroll streaming service. The series became the most discussed series online during the anime season, and it was also seen on many Must Watch lists for 2016. A film for Yuri on Ice named Yuri!!! on Ice the Movie: Ice Adolescence was announced to be in development in April 2017 with an initial release date in 2019, but it has been delayed with no clear release date as of writing.

Yuri Katsuki is the protagonist of Yuri!!! on Ice. He is a professional figure skater from Japan's Saga Prefecture, which is also where he began figure skating. When he was young Yuri would often be at the local skate rink with his friends playing around and grew to love it. His ballet teacher at the time recommended for him to take up figure skating. Yuri is known as the figure skater with ‘the world’s biggest glass heart’ meaning he is a very sensitive person. He is easily discouraged when he fails, though he begins to develop more self-confidence after training with Victor Nikiforov. This figure features Yuri in his figure-skating outfit.

Yuri Katsuki comes with three different face plates to display a joyful smile with his mouth wide open. The second face plate shows an embarrassed expression where he is blushing and mouth slightly open. On the side of his face is a small sweat drop showing he is also nervous or worried. The last face plate shows his serious face or his eros expression which is iconic when he seems to have completely changed and become a new person with his performance. His eyes look focused yet relaxed at the same time and his mouth is in a small smile showing his confident and sexy expression.

The Nendoroid also has different hair pieces. His hair can also be replaced allowing options for his casual hair where he has a fringe and looks relaxed. The other hairstyle is one where his hair is brushed back and set for when he's skating and performing. For extra accessories, a bowl of delicious katsudon and a pair of chopsticks or a blue smartphone can be held in his hands.

Victor Nikiforov is a top-rated figure skater from Russia and acts as a figure skating mentor to Yuri Katsuki for a while. He is very talented at figure skating, having won 5 world championships in a row, as well as multiple regional championships. Victor is a very captivating character that exudes charisma. Many of the other characters are mesmerized by his performance and are constantly asking him to return to the limelight. While his on-stage character is full of confidence and seriousness he is actually quite an airheaded character who tends to forget many things. This figure features Victor in his figure skating outfit.

Yuri Plisetsky is a Russian professional figure skater who acts as a rival to Yuri Katsuki. Despite his young age, he has shown great figure skating skills, having been Junior World Champion twice in a row before starting Senior competitions. While on the rink he appears very beautiful and graceful while his true self is anything but that. He has a rough personality, not being above insulting and threatening his competitors. This figure features Yuri in his figure skating outfit.
