Sucy Manbavaran Little Witch Academia - Nendoroid
The Little Witch Academia franchise produced by Studio Trigger first began as a small part of Anime Mirai 2013, which was a part of the Young Animator Training Project. Although the original short film was originally shown in 14 theaters in Japan, it quickly gained an impressive following. Only a few months after its original release, Trigger attempted to crowdfund a sequel to the original short, which met its goal of $150,000 in only five hours. With the success of the second film and the full television series that followed, the large fan base Trigger had cultivated created a reasonable market for Little Witch Academia merchandise, which production companies were eager to provide for. One such type of merchandise is collectible figures based on the franchise's many characters. Sucy Manbavaran is one such character whose mischievous personality and love for pranks led to her becoming a fan favorite of the series. As such, Sucy eventually was turned into a Nendoroid with the release of the "Nendoroid Little Witch Academia Sucy Manbavaran (Re-run)".

This recreation of Sucy has her wearing her unique take on the Luna Nova Magical Academy uniform, which consists of a long, purple tunic that reaches down past her feet, a white undershirt with a matching ribbon tied around the collar, and a red belt that sits loosely around her waist, and a large witch hat. It also includes extra parts like a pair of mushrooms, a mysterious potion, a plant sprout, the alpaca Sucy from her own dream world, and Sucy's wand which, when combined with the many points of articulation in this figure, allows for a wide range of potential poses and customization. It also includes three different face plates to change her expression from tired, to ecstatic, to mischievous. Her hat is also removable, adding even more possibilities.

Sucy Manbavaran is a young witch from an undisclosed country from Southeast Asia who is infamous around the school for her peculiar tastes and personality. While she may seem like an apathetic, yet calm and endlessly tired individual on the surface, Sucy is incredibly diligent when it comes to testing her potions and poisons. While most witches at Luna Nova dislike alchemy and potion brewing because of the noxious fumes they can give off, Sucy thrives on them, making others perceive her as somewhat of a freak. In addition to this, Sucy is always looking for guinea pigs to test her potions, with Atsuko being the most likely target. Although Sucy does use people like Atsuko as a test subject, she does truly cherish the friendships she has, particularly when it comes to Atsuko.
About Sucy Manbavaran: Abilities
Although Sucy is fairly skilled when it comes to other kinds of magic like broom flying, illusion magic, and fusion magic, her specialty by far is alchemy. No matter where she and her friends go, Sucy always has the ingredients and equipment to create potions and poisons to get them out of any bind. Some examples of the things she can create include poison gas potions, explosive potions, life-giving potions, plant growth potions, energizing potions, and potions that can briefly increase one's magical power. In addition to the vast knowledge of alchemy, Sucy herself is also immune to poisons and toxins, making her a truly formidable foe in the realm of alchemy.
Other Important Little Witch Academia Characters
Among all of the characters in Little Witch Academia, two of the most important characters to Sucy would be Atsuko Kagari and Lotte Jansson, who make up the main trio in the series.
Atsuko "Akko" Kagari
Atsuko Kagari, who is often called "Akko" by her friends, is the main protagonist of Little Witch Academia and is a first-generation witch from Japan. In her childhood, she was captivated by a magical performance by Shiny Chariot, eventually resulting in Atsuko becoming inspired enough to become a witch herself. Although Shiny Chariot was seen as somewhat of a laughing stock by the greater magical community, Atsuko's passion for Chariot never dies. When it comes to Atsuko's personality, many see her as incredibly outgoing, optimistic, and always eager for a challenge. Although many other students see her as a lost cause due to her lack of magical ability or desire to study, Atsuko never lets others get her down. That said, her impulsive and irrational behavior often gets her in trouble with school, resulting in Atsuko and the others ending up in hot water.
Lotte Jansson
Lotte Jansson is a witch who was originally from Finland before she traveled to study at Luna Nova Magical Academy. Among the trio of Sucy, Atsuko, and Lotte, Lotte is by far the shyest and most timid of the group. That said, she often worries about others, especially when it comes to Atsuko, as Lotte believes that Atsuko's desire to become more like Shiny Chariot may be her downfall. In addition to basic magical abilities like broom flying and metamorphosis magic, Lotte's specialty is communicating with spirits and faeries without the need of using magic directly. Rather than using magic, she can use a special song from her hometown to speak with spirits to get information or ask them to help with a spell.
