Rock Lee Naruto - Nendoroid

The anime Naruto was first released on the 3rd of October 2002. It gained attention and popularity due to its intense fight scenes with amazing effects. The series was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto and it depicts the life of shinobi. Instead of the stereotypical image of a ninja who keeps to the shadows, Masashi shows unique and flashy ninja with otherworldly techniques. Rock Lee is a very popular character with a spin-off series being centered around him called "Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth Full Power Ninja Chronicles". One popular product featuring Rock Lee is the "Nendoroid Naruto Shippuden Rock Lee".

Nendoroid Naruto Shippuden Rock Lee

The handsome yet comical Rock Lee joins the Nendoroid family. He wears his usual tight green bodysuit with orange leg warmers to imitate his favorite teacher. On top of his usual outfit is a green jonin jacket depicting him during the Shippuden series when he has grown very powerful. Rock comes with three different faceplates, a normal smiling face, a serious fighting face, and an intense expression where he is releasing his Eight Inner Gates.

About Rock Lee

Rock Lee is a Konohagakure shinobi and a member of Team Guy with Tenten and Neji Hyuga. He is a ninja who doesn't have the basic skills of ninjutsu or genjutsu making him heavily looked down upon. Despite these shortcomings, he overcomes many obstacles and becomes a powerful shinobi.

About Rock Lee: Background

Rock is a young orphan with no talent for ninjutsu and genjutsu which are the basic skills a ninja must-have. Instead of despairing about his unfortunate talent, he perseveres with taijutsu. He is able to successfully graduate from the ninja academy and is put into team Guy with Neji and Tenten. Rock announced that he would become a powerful shinobi without using ninjutsu or genjutsu and was laughed at. However, his teacher Guy took interest in his dreams and encouraged Rock.

Guy teaches Rock powerful taijutsu techniques and helps him grow. Rock then starts to take after his teacher and adopts the same outfit and hairstyle. At first, Rock had short hair which curved outwards and a Chinese-themed outfit but after training under his idol he sports the same bowl haircut and green bodysuit. He becomes intensely energetic and swears by the springtime of youth that Guy always talks about. Despite his hot-blooded personality he is very polite and always has good manners when speaking to others.

When he first meets Sakura Haruno to proclaim his love for her, he makes sure to use honorifics. He also politely challenges Sasuke Uchiha to a duel to measure his skills against a prodigy. Rock is able to fight much faster than Sasuke’s sharingan can keep up with, allowing Rock to gain the upper hand. The duel comes to an abrupt end when his teacher Guy appears and stops the fight.

About Rock Lee: Abilities

Unlike normal shinobi, Rock doesn’t have the skills to use any ninjutsu or genjutsu. Instead, he trained his taijutsu and became known as a taijutsu master. Under the guidance of Guy, Rock becomes a very powerful ninja who only uses taijutsu. While still a genin he shows skills that are able to defeat Sasuke who is known as a prodigy. During the chunin exams, he shows that he is wearing very heavy weights that cause massive destruction to the ground when he drops them. After releasing himself from the weights he is able to speed past Gaara’s automatic sand defense.

Rock's most powerful attacks would be the Eight Gates. They are inner gates that allow the user to increase their physical abilities. With each gate that is opened, it greatly enhances the user's speed, strength, and chakra levels causing the user to become very powerful. In exchange for the enormous strength, opening the gates causes great stress on his body, and pushing himself may cause damage to his body. Kakashi Hatake even comments that being able to open one gate is enough to be called a genius as it is very difficult. Under Guy's teachings, Rock is able to open all of the gates by the end of the series.

Rock Lee is very similar to Naruto due to the fact they were both considered losers without the skills to become a proper ninja. However, both of them are able to overcome many difficulties and become renowned shinobi.

Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of the series and brings great change to the shinobi world. Despite being known as the dead-last of his graduating class he grew exponentially. During the chunin exams, he defeated Neji, who is known as a genius, greatly overturning many people's expectations.

Sasuke Uchiha

Sasuke Uchiha is one of the main characters and is in the same team as Naruto. In his graduating class, he is the best and is called a genius. He becomes a good rival for Naruto, as the two always try to compete against each other and be the better ninja.
