OtapediaAqua KonoSuba - Nendoroid

The popular comedic fantasy isekai series, KonoSuba, is a series of light novels written by Natsume Akatsuki. After the series received an anime adaptation by Studio Deen in 2016, the series quickly exploded in popularity. Although characters from the series and fans alike enjoy poking fun at her, Aqua is certainly an essential KonoSuba character with an impressive following behind her. As such, she has been recreated into many different figures, with Good Smile Company being one of the more well-known figure manufacturers. Among Good Smile Company's lines of figures, the Nendoroid is notably popular for its extensive catalog and reasonable prices. Two Nendoroid figures based on Aqua include the "Nendoroid KonoSuba Aqua (Re-run)" and the "Nendoroid Swacchao! KonoSuba the Movie: Legend of Crimson Aqua"

Nendoroid KonoSuba Aqua (Re-run)

This figure of Aqua takes the divine goddess and turns her into a cute, chibi-style figure. It also has her wearing her classic attire: a dark blue dress with detached white sleeves and a sheer skirt, matching blue knee-high boots with white and blue socks, and her water molecule-shaped hair ornament. This set also includes additional pieces like face plates to change her expression from a standard smile to smug laugh, to shouting cry. It also has Aqua's magic staff and a pair of fans so she can perform her Nature's Beauty party trick.

Nendoroid Swacchao! KonoSuba the Movie: Legend of Crimson Aqua

Although it does not have the amount of articulation or additional parts of the standard Nendoroid, its arms and head can move. It also comes with a chair that Aqua can sit in. This chair can stand on its own, or the back two legs can be removed so Aqua can sit on the edge of a desk, monitor, or other surfaces.

About Aqua

Aqua is a goddess of water and one of the gods in charge of guiding the souls of the dead to their next lives. After she is forced to travel with Kazuma in another world, she joins him in his quest to defeat the Demon Lord so she can return to her position as a goddess.

About Aqua: Background

Aqua is a goddess that is worshiped by a group in the world of KonoSuba called the Axis Order. As a goddess, she receives a great deal of power from this group, as troublesome as some members are. One of her most notable divine responsibilities is sending a few recently deceased people from Earth to the fantasy world that KonoSuba is set in with the added bonus of any "cheat item" of the victim's choosing. When she decides to send Kazuma to this fantasy world, she laughs and berates him for this particularly unfortunate death. In retaliation, Kazuma chooses Aqua herself as his "cheat item", forcing her to join him in his quest. When it comes to her personality, she is often seen as happy-go-lucky, yet stubborn, bossy, demanding, and childish by her peers, particularly by Kazuma.

About Aqua: Abilities

After incarnating into a new world, Aqua's divine powers were weakened somewhat due to becoming mortal. In exchange, however, all of her basic stats were set to their maximum levels from the very beginning. While this means that she has above average values for some stats, her lower stats like intelligence and luck can never be increased. Aside from her basic stats, Aqua is also an Archpriest, which gives her access to powerful healing, support, and purification magic. She also specializes in water-based magic and most of her spells are holy in nature, making her particularly effective against undead targets.

Other Important KonoSuba Characters

Among the many colorful and quirky characters in KonoSuba, some of the most important to Aqua would be Kazuma Sato and Megumin.

Kazuma Sato

Kazuma Sato is the protagonist of KonoSuba. Prior to being transported to a fantasy world, Kazuma was a shut-in otaku who spent most of his time playing games. On his way home from buying a new game, he believes that a passerby is about to be run over by a tractor and attempts to save them. Unfortunately for Kazuma, no one was in any real danger and the stress and shock of the event was the cause of his death. After Aqua makes fun of Kazuma's untimely demise, he chooses to take her with him on his quest to defeat the Demon Lord.

Megumin

Megumin is a Crimson Demon Arch Wizard with an obsession with Explosion magic. As a Crimson Demon, Megumin is naturally gifted when it comes to magic and has the ability to learn advanced spells, but chooses to only use her skill points to improve her Explosion magic. As such, she never increases her maximum mana, causing her to collapse immediately after using Explosion. Many adventurers are eager to have Megumin join their party since she is an Arch Wizard, but quickly make her leave after learning that she can only use Explosion once every day and cannot move once it is cast. After Kazuma and Aqua sent out a request for party members, she was desperate to join his group and Kazuma could not bring himself to leave her be.
