About Captain America

Captain America, also known as Steve Rogers, is one of the only surviving test subjects of the Super Soldier Serum. He was then frozen for around 70 years till he woke up in the 21st Century and became the leader of the Avengers.

About Captain America: Background

Steve Rogers was born in New York in 1918. Rogers was very weak as a child and suffered from asthma, scarlet fever, rheumatic fever, high blood pressure, and heart troubles. Later the two find out that America had joined World War II, and the two decide that they want to help protect America. This leads to Barnes training Rogers so that they both can join the army. However, Rogers is rejected due to his poor health. Despite the rejection, he proves to have a strong spirit and is adamant about joining, this catches the eye of Abraham Eskine, and Rogers is enlisted in the Project: Rebirth, which leads to the superhuman abilities Captain America possesses.

Ever since a young age, Rogers has been brave, honest, and had a strong sense of morals. Despite the bullying and disadvantage, due to his health. He was always there to help protect those who needed it and was willing to sacrifice his life to help protect others. For example, as a part of training, he threw himself in front of a dud grenade, which he thought was real, without hesitation. His bravery and humble attitude make many of the characters respect him and is why so many heroes are willing to follow him into battle.

About Captain America: Abilities

Many of Captain America’s abilities result from being injected with the Super Soldier Serum as a part of Project: Rebirth. The injection of the serum led to Rogers gaining superhuman strength, durability, speed, reflexes, stamina, senses, and perception. His superhuman abilities are, on occasion, more potent than the other heroes as well. In particular, his perception and senses are significantly more powerful than the other heroes, and he can process information faster than the other heroes. In addition, he uses his superhuman abilities to stay at an advantage and is almost unbeatable.

Captain America is also an expert marksman and shield filter other than his superhuman abilities. This is due to his military background and ability to throw most weaponry with great accuracy and use firearms with ease.
