Orochimaru Naruto - Nendoroid

The very popular Naruto series first released an anime on the 3rd of October 2002. The original manga series was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto and gained attention from all over the world. The series tells the story of ninjas who have extraordinary powers and abilities which they use to fight each other. It is full of action and flashy battles allowing the fans to get immersed in the fantasy world of ninjas. One of the popular characters in the series is Orochimaru, one of the major antagonists. He is a super-powerful character and shows the vast difference in ability between the main cast and himself. One popular product of Orochimaru includes the "Nendoroid Naruto Shippuden Orochimaru".

Nendoroid Naruto Shippuden Orochimaru

The evil cunning genius Orochimaru joins the Nendoroid family. His outfit has been faithfully recreated from the series including his signature large purple string belt tied into a bow. The Orochimaru Nendoroid comes with two different faceplates: a standard smiling expression, and a fierce fighting expression with his mouth open. The fighting expression has interchangeable tongue and sword parts to recreate the famous scenes from the series. There are also various optional features included: striking shadow snake hand parts, the sword of Kusanagi, and various hand parts.

About Orochimaru

Orochimaru is the first major antagonist that Naruto Uzumaki, the protagonist, encounters. Together with his team during the chunin exams, they fight against Orochimaru who has infiltrated the exams. However, they are unable to do anything and can only be one-sidedly beaten.

About Orochimaru: Background

Orochimaru was a young orphan with great potential. He was in the same team as Tsunade Senju and Jiraiya under the leadership of Hiruzen Sarutobi the Third Hokage. Hiruzen considered Orochimaru as a genius due to his talent. Orochimaru threw himself into learning any and all techniques there were including kinjutsu which are forbidden techniques. Jiraiya supposed it was in order to forget the painful memory of his parent's death. Orochimaru slowly grew obsessed with power and immortality and gradually went onto the path of evil.

Since Orochimaru was obsessed with the power he coveted the seat of the Fourth Hokage. He wished to use the position to further his ambitions and experiments. However, the Third Hokage sensed the evil intentions within his student and tried to dissuade him from evil but failed. Instead, the Third Hokage named Minato Namikaze as his successor and the Fourth Hokage. Blinded by anger and jealousy Orochimaru continued his experiments with no intention to hide. He experimented on prisoners as well as kidnapped Konoha citizens.

Orochimaru was later found red-handed by his teacher, experimenting on his fellow citizens. Sarutobi became enraged and broken-hearted from seeing his prized student falling to the dark side. Despite the immoral actions Sarutobi saw, he didn't have it in him to kill his student. Orochimaru saw his chance and escaped becoming a nuke-nin. As he had become an internationally wanted criminal Orochimaru then joined the criminal organization Akatsuki.

Orochimaru is a very cunning character and would do anything to further his goals. He ignores any sort of moral compass and would readily kidnap women and children if it was of merit to him. When Itachi Uchiha joined Akatsuki, Orochimaru thought it was his chance to steal his body and gain the sharingan. He was defeated by Itachi and left the organization but he was still full of ambition. Orochimaru then went on to found his own hidden village named Otogakure.

About Orochimaru: Abilities

Orochimaru is a highly skilled individual. Together with his teammates Tsunade and Jiraiya they were named the Legendary Sannin due to their strength. Orochimaru was very talented and had enough power to be considered a Hokage. He has complex knowledge of ninjutsu as he wishes to learn about every technique possible and has even learned forbidden techniques and is an expert with them.

Other Important Naruto Characters

Orochimaru was an important individual for showing the main cast that there would always be people way above them. Even though their teacher Kakashi Hatake was known as a genius and powerful there were still stronger people above him.

Tsunade Senju

Tsunade Senju is one of the last members of the Senju clan, the ones who founded Konohagakure. After the death of her loved ones and the mess of her trusted teammate defecting, Tsunade left Konoha with no intention to return. She only came back after being convinced by Naruto to become the Fifth Hokage.

Jiraiya

Jiraiya was an orphan just like Orochimaru and the two bonded while on the same team together. He felt betrayed by Orochimaru’s defection and left Konoha for long periods of time. Jiraiya later became Naruto’s mentor who was his last student and godson.
