Aoi Inuyama Laid-Back Camp - Nendoroid
Laid-Back Camp is a popular slice of life manga series that was first written and illustrated by Afro in July 2015. The series itself follows Rin Shima, Nadeshiko Kagamihara, and the rest of the Outdoor Activities Club as they travel around Japan to visit various campsites. As the title of the series suggests, it lacks the high-paced and action-packed appeal of more popular shonen series, yet its calm and comfortable atmosphere has attracted quite a number of fans. While the series mainly focuses on Rin and Nadeshiko, fans have also fallen in love with its supporting cast. One such example would be Aoi Inuyama, one of the founding members of the Outdoor Activities Club. With her approachable personality and love for telling tall tales, many have come to adore Aoi along with the rest of the cast of Laid-Back Camp. As such, Good Smile Company would eventually release the "Nendoroid Laid-Back Camp Aoi Inuyama (Re-run)" in 2021.
Nendoroid Laid-Back Camp Aoi Inuyama (Re-run)
This figure of Aoi takes her already cute design and makes her even cuter by adding the chibi style one expects from Nendoroid figures. It also has Aoi wearing her winter camping outfit, which consists of a blue shirt, a teal sweater, a pale blue skirt, a pair of brown boots, and a gray scarf. Like most other Nendoroid figures, this recreation of Aoi also includes plenty of extra parts and other options for customization. Such examples include interchangeable arms, a hot spring base, a piece to change her position from standing to sitting, her hat, a deep-fried egg, and her cell phone. In addition, Aoi's scarf is removable and her eyebrows can be moved around to create a variety of expressions. The three face plates also let one change her expression from smiling, to relaxed, to the face she makes when telling one of her tall tales.

About Aoi Inuyama: Background
Aoi Inuyama is a student at Motosu High School and is largely known for being very calm, easy to talk to, and speaking with Kansai dialect. That said, she also often enjoys teasing her friends by creating tall tales to get a reaction from them. Prior to the events of the beginning of Laid-Back Camp, Aoi Inuyama and Chiaki Ogaki founded the Outdoor Activities Club at their high school, a group that focused on enjoying the outdoors, whether it be camping, bonfires, or outdoor cooking. Since Aoi and Chiaki founded the club together, they know each other considerably better than other characters like Rin or Nadeshiko. That said she quickly lets others feel accepted into the group.
About Aoi Inuyama: Abilities and Skills
Like the other members of the Outdoor Activities Club, Aoi has a general interest and knowledge when it comes to camping and other outdoor activities. Although Aoi may not be as knowledgeable as Rin, she and Chiaki are more than capable of helping out camping newcomers like Nadeshiko. In addition, as mentioned before, Aoi is particularly skilled when it comes to fabricating stories to tell to others. Most of the time, she tells these tall tales to her friends to tease them or get a specific reaction from them. This skill also seems to run in Aoi's family, as her younger sister, Akari, also shares this habit.
Other Important Laid-Back Camp Characters
When it comes to Aoi Inuyama, Chiaki Ogaki has known her the longest, making Chiaki one of Aoi's closest friends. Aside from Chiaki, however, Nadeshiko Kagamihara and Rin Shima are also characters who are close friends with Aoi.
Chiaki Ogaki
Chiaki Ogaki is the second co-founder and co-president of the Outdoor Activities Club. While Aoi is generally considered to be the calm one of the two, Chiaki is by far the outgoing and energetic one. Her outgoing nature also has Chiaki playing pranks on her friends, with Nadeshiko being the most common target because Chiaki finds her to be quite gullible. That said, Chiaki's enthusiasm can often cause her to act without thinking, causing her plans to backfire at times.
Nadeshiko Kagamihara
Nadeshiko Kagamihara is a young girl who recently transferred to Motosu High School. Before her first day, however, she meets Rin Shima as she camps by herself. This encounter causes her to fall in love with camping, which quickly leads her to join the Outdoor Activities Club. Nadeshiko is often characterized as an easily excitable, yet often naive individual who has a seemingly endless appetite. Nadeshiko knows little to nothing about camping, but her newfound passion leads her to learn more and more about her hobby. Although she lacks knowledge about camping, Nadeshiko proves herself to be a decent cook and often cooks for the camping group when they travel together.
Rin Shima
Rin Shima, like most other characters in Laid-Back Camp, is a student at Motosu High School. On her days off, Rin often enjoys traveling to different campsites in her area to camp by herself. Since she often camps alone, she has learned how to manage herself and her camping gear the hard way and has come to appreciate the peace that comes with solo camping. While some may think she would make the perfect member of the Outdoor Activities Club, she refuses to join due to her preference to camp alone. After meeting Nadeshiko, however, her opinions begin to change and she begins to consider camping with Nadeshiko and the others as well.
