Kaguya-sama: Love is War is a very popular love comedy series. It tells the story of a young boy and girl who instead of confessing their love to each other, the main couple tries to trick the other one to confess to them. They believe if they fall in love first it is their loss. In order to not be the submissive one in the relationship, they use their smarts and resources to get the other person to confess first. The manga was written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka and the anime was first released on the 12th of January 2019. Miyuki Shirogane is the male lead of the series and is quite a popular character. He is the only poor student who commutes to Shuchi'in Academy, a very prestigious school for very rich families but he doesn’t let that fact bother him. His grades are excellent and he was about to gain the position of student council president. Miyuki is a very popular character with many products made in his design such as figures and Nendoroids. One popular product is “Nendoroid Kaguya-sama: Love is War Miyuki Shirogane”.

The cool student council president Miyuki Shirogane joins the Nendoroid family in a small and cute form. He wears his Shuchi'in Academy uniform which consists of a black gakuran and pants with his white school shoes. To signify he is the president, adored around his collar is the Aiguillette, a gold chain-like accessory.
Miyuki comes with three different faceplates for a wide range of situations. A smiling face, a serious face while he looks to the side, and a blank face he is seen having when he doesn't understand what is going on but pretends to know. There are also various optional features such as his smartphone, cat ears, and a background sheet showing the student council room.

About Miyuki Shirogane
Miyuki Shirogane is one of the main protagonists of the series. He is the president of the student council at Shuchi'in Academy.
About Miyuki Shirogane: Background
As a young child, Miyuki has been through hardship and suffering. His mother left when he was young, taking his younger sister with her. Miyuki’s father’s business then failed, leaving his family with no stable income. Throughout his childhood and even when he is at Shuchi'in Academy Miyuki lives a very frugal life. He is constantly looking for sales and eats very minimal meals. During a fried rice-making competition, while the other student council members had all sorts of ingredients such as oyster and roast pork in their fried rice, only Miyuki had no filling. It was the fried rice he learned how to cook for his hungry younger sister while they had no money to buy more ingredients.
Miyuki doesn’t think badly of his father and knows he was doing his best for the family. He only entered Shuchi'in Academy through a scholarship and doesn’t want to waste any of his father’s money. Due to his poor upbringing, he is slightly intimidated by Kaguya Shinomiya’s vast wealth and resources. He doesn’t wish to appear poor in front of her and has Kaguya call his actions ‘cute’ which traumatizes him greatly.
Despite his fears, Miyuki is a very capable person. Due to his transfer into Shuchi'in Academy for his first year of high school, many of the students looked down on him. Shuchi'in Academy is an elevator school where the rich and noble families gather. Students who transfer in are thought of as impure and are treated differently. Although he was disappointed at first, he was charmed at the sight of Kaguya’s actions and worked hard to become the student council president. As the president, he is selfless in his actions and supports all the students in their endeavors. Even if he doesn’t truly understand the situation he tries to offer his help in any way he can.

Miyuki is a very intelligent person and is capable of consistently achieving first place for their exams. He is someone who doesn’t give up and always expects the best from himself. He places great stress on himself to hide his flaws and become the perfect president everyone expects him to be.

Miyuki’s interaction with Kaguya is greatly important for the series. When Kaguya was young she was very cold and emotionless due to her complicated family background. However, her life together with Miyuki at Shuchi'in Academy helped them both grow.
Kaguya Shinomiya
Kaguya Shinomiya is the female lead of the story and the love interest of Miyuki. She is the daughter of the enormously wealthy Shinomiya family that has a monopoly in many markets. Kaguya is a very wealthy person and it makes Miyuki strive harder to become a person worthy of her.
Chika Fujiwara
Chika Fujiwara is the secretary of the student council. Although she always acts airheaded and someone who cannot read the room she is quite intelligent and well educated. She is Kaguya’s best friend and helps Kaguya to experience feelings of love and jealousy.
