About Sakura Haruno: Background

Sakura was born and raised in a civilian family. When she joined the academy for ninja training she was more focused on looking pretty and her love life. During her academic life, she was bullied for having a large forehead. Sakura grew very self-conscious until Ino Yamanaka saved her from the bullying. The two become best friends until Sakura finds out they like the same boy, Sasuke Uchiha. Their close friendship ends up breaking as they consider each other their rival.

Although she was academically talented with good chakra control her skills with weapons and ninjutsu were average. After graduating from the academy and going on her first difficult mission she learned that she was not fully ready for being a kunoichi. By experiencing different missions and fights Sakura slowly grows to become a proper kunoichi. When Naruto brings back Tsunade Senju to become the Fifth Hokage it becomes a chance for Sakura to change even more.

Tsunade is the best at medical ninjutsu and can heal heavily injured people. She takes Sakura under her wing and trains her up to become someone of the same level. The excellent chakra control Sakura has makes her perfect for becoming a medic. Using medical ninjutsu requires precision and extensive knowledge of the human body. Just like her mentor Tsunade, Sakura has the Strength of a Hundred Seal which allows her to move on to the front lines. Instead of staying as a backup and healing everyone, the seal gives Sakura the power to become a one-man-army.

About Sakura Haruno: Abilities

As a genin, Sakura didn't have that many skills of note. However, after training with Tsunade for two and a half years she became a very respectable shinobi. Some of the characters have even stated that Sakura may someday surpass Tsunade.

Tsunade is known to be extremely powerful and the best at medical ninjutsu. After her training, Sakura learns how to use medical ninjutsu. She becomes extremely competent and brings Naruto and her friends back from almost death many times. Although Sakura becomes a healer she can also release ferocious attacks. By using a technique developed by Tsunade, Sakura learns how to control her chakra to her hands and legs to release a punch or kick that causes overwhelming damage.

Naruto Uzumaki is the main character of the series. He is an optimistic boy who carries deep scars and burdens without letting them show. Naruto shows that he can change from being a troublemaking child to someone who can lead.

Sasuke Uchiha

Sasuke Uchiha is one of the main characters and is the love interest of Sakura. Due to the massacre of his clan, his reason for living became revenge. He slowly became obsessed with the power to kill his brother Itachi Uchiha who killed off his clan. Sasuke becomes tainted with hatred and drifts off to the side of evil to gain more power.
