About Ram

Ram is Rem's twin sister and a maid who works for Roswaal L Mathers. She features throughout the series in a neutral role but does arrive to help Subaru Natsuki when he desperately needs it.

About Ram: Background

Ram was born with exceptional aptitude for mana manipulation. She was known as the second coming of the Oni God. Her talent was shown in all areas, and she was excellent at everything from cooking to physical activities. She was deemed "superior" to her twin sister Rem, and everyone, including Rem, showered Ram with love. However, she never let this take over her and always remembered and cared greatly for her twin sister.

She shows great care towards her sister and will do anything to protect her sister on multiple occasions. When the Witch Cult attacked, while all of the Oni had fallen, Ram alone continued to fight to protect Rem. Even with her horns cut off, she continued to fight to protect her sister. This incident leads them to meet Roswaal L Mathers, to whom they are very loyal.

At first, Ram gives the impression that she is cold and self-centered. However, towards those, she cares about she is extremely loyal and caring.

About Ram: Abilities

Ram can use Clairvoyance. This secret art passed down in the Oni tribe allows her to synchronize with those who have the same wavelength as her. If someone closes off their heart, Ram cannot synchronize with them. Being a part of the Oni bloodline allows her to go into Oni form and use her powers to boost her base abilities. Despite her horn being cut off, she can still take on the Oni form.

She is also a magic user and is skilled in Wind Magic. She was more powerful than she currently is when she still had her horns. She uses a spell called Fura, which allows her to shoot wind at an extremely high speed. So deadly that it can cut through wood, stone, and flesh. Another spell she can use is Illusionism. This allows her to create illusions. Every illusion Ram creates contains a flower's scent, which is the key to dispelling the enchantment.

While Ram can seem cold and distant, she is very caring to those close to her. Her caring nature can be seen in her interaction with her sister Rem, Roswaal, and Natsuki.

Subaru Natsuki

While Ram is often seen throwing insults and getting mad at Subaru Natsuki, the two have a close bond. She is seen helping Subaru when he desperately needs it and has also taken the time to teach him to read and write. They initially have a rocky friendship but grow to trust and respect each other as the series progresses.

Rem

Rem is Ram's twin sister and only surviving family member. Ram profoundly cares for her sister and has always looked out for Rem from a young age. Despite the adoration Ram had received growing up, she never forgot about her sister and continued to look out for her with everything she had.

Roswaal L Mathers

The two first meet when the Witch Cult attacks the Ram's Oni Tribe, and Roswaal comes and saves them. She is loyal to him and feels indebted to him for saving her and her sister. She also harbors some romantic feelings toward Roswaal but gets confused when discovering the truth about the Witch Cult attacks. However, despite all of this, she continues to work for Roswaal and is close to him. The two also reach some form of understanding of each other.
