Rent-A-Girlfriend is a manga series that was written by Reiji Miyajima. Thanks to the unique story the romantic comedy between the two main characters gained popularity. The protagonist, Kazuya Kinoshita, decides to rent a girlfriend as he had just recently broken up. Without thinking he rented the girl who was the most recommended and this is where the story begins. The story shows the difficulties of being stuck between the thoughts of wanting a real relationship and trying to maintain a fake relationship. Due to its popularity, it gained an anime adaption that was released on the 11th of July 2020. One of the rental girlfriends to appear is a young yet beautiful girl called Ruka Sarashina. Her cheerful personality has gained many fans and resulted in many products in her design being developed. One popular product is the Nendoroid figure, “Nendoroid Rent-A-Girlfriend Ruka Sarashina.”

The little sister-type rental girlfriend Ruka Sarashina joins the Nendoroid line. She wears a cute outfit of a knit and short black skirt with her signature large blue hairband ribbon. Her hair has also been recreated perfectly of her short bob with the tips of her hair colored brown.
The Ruka Nendoroid comes with three different facial expressions. The first expression shows her normal happy face with her mouth wide open. The second expression shows her embarrassed expression with her cheeks blushing. Finally, the last expression shows a cheeky expression with her sticking her tongue out. There are also various optional features such as her phone, handbag, and various other alternate body parts.

About Ruka Sarashina: Background
Ruka is a high school girl who works as a rental girlfriend. She was born with an irregular heartbeat which is slower when compared with other people. From a young age, she has been treated differently since she can collapse if she does vigorous activities that increase her heartbeat. Ruka then decided to become a rental girlfriend to find someone who can make her heart beat faster without causing her health problems.
Her first impression of Kazuya was not the best. Due to his indecisive and somewhat suspicious behavior, Ruka thought he was the same as all the people she had met from the rental girlfriend app. All those men were quite superficial and wanted to enjoy the feeling of having a beautiful girlfriend without putting in the effort themselves. After meeting Kazuya and being saved by him, Ruka's impression of him changed. Her heart was moved by his genuine care and she felt herself slowly fall in love with him. By confirming with the heartbeat counter app she has, Ruka was able to know for sure Kazuya was able to make her heart beat faster.
She has a very pushy and stubborn personality and tried to find many ways to break the relationship between Kasuya and Chizuru Mizuhara, another rental girlfriend. Ruka had suspected that Chizuru was a rental girlfriend and the relationship between the two was fake. Using the information as leverage she was able to make Kazuya her trial boyfriend and tried to charm him.

Kazuya is an unreliable main character. He is a coward and lies to others to save his face. Despite his cowardly behavior, he is truly kind-hearted and often lies in order to keep someone else happy. His honest and sincere personality is why Ruka gradually began to hold feelings toward him.
