The Sword Art Online series is a popular series of fantasy and sci-fi light novels written by Reki Kawahara. Only a few years after the release of the first light novel, the series received its first anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures in 2012, which caused Sword Art Online to become a name known to many fans of anime around the world. With the popularity of the Sword Art Online anime, a wide variety of different kinds of merchandise was produced, with figures based on the series' many characters being some of the most popular.
One particularly popular character is Asuna Yuuki, the main heroine of the overall story and Kirito's girlfriend. Nendoroid Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale Asuna & Yui
This figure of Asuna and their adoptive in-game daughter, Yui, recreates their appearance from the Ordinal Scale arc of Sword Art Online. The Asuna figure captures most of her distinct features, like her chestnut hair and matching eyes while dressing her in her uniform for the Ordinal Scale game. This outfit consists of a white and black jacket with red trim and belts that are decorated with gold buckles, red slacks, and matching white, black, and red boots. The tiny Yui figure has her wearing a pastel pink dress with plenty of bows, light blue fairy wings, and a flower hairpin. Other accessories like face plates, Asuna's sword, and interchangeable arms and hands are also included.

Nendoroid Sword Art Online Alicization: War of Underworld Asuna: Stacia the Goddess of Creation
This figure, unlike the previous one, recreates Asuna's avatar shown in the War of Underworld arc of Sword Art Online: Project Alicization known as Stacia, the Goddess of Creation. Like the title of the goddess may imply, this take on Asuna is quite elegant and refined, as she adorns a pearl-white set of armor that is decorated with pink and magenta-colored fabric. Other accessories included with this set are her unique sword, Radiant Light, its scabbard, face plates to change up her expression, and several sets of arms and legs to create a variety of different poses.

About Asuna Yuuki
Asuna is the main heroine of the overall story of Sword Art Online and is in a romantic relationship with the series' protagonist, Kirito (also known as Kazuto Kirigaya). She also takes on the role of protagonist for the "Mother's Rosario" side story.
About Asuna Yuuki: Background
Asuna Yuuki is a young woman who first appeared early on in the Sword Art Online series. Although she is generally seen as kind, she can be quite stubborn and proud of herself at times, which led to her and Kirito not getting along when they first met. However, when they eventually teamed up to take on a boss, the two realized how well they worked together. The two did part ways for a time, however, and Asuna joined the Knights of the Blood guild and rose to the rank of sub-leader. Here, Asuna would gain the nickname, "The Flash", for her astounding speed and proficiency with Rapier weapons and skills.
About Asuna Yuuki: Abilities
Due to her mastery of combat with her rapier and the sheer amount of speed, Asuna is certainly a powerful ally or a dangerous enemy. Her combat skills alone allow her to keep up with Kirito, who was already an exceptionally skilled player due to his previous experience as a beta tester of Sword Art Online. Aside from combat, however, Asuna also completely mastered her Cooking skill, which she and Kirito took advantage of several times throughout their time in Aincrad to create inconceivable delicious dishes.

Out of the large cast of characters in Sword Art Online, two of the most important would be Kazuto Kirigaya (Kirito) and Shino Asada (Sinon).
Kazuto Kirigaya (Kirito)
Kazuto Kirigaya (born as Kazuto Narusaka) is the main protagonist of the main Sword Art Online series. After he was adopted by his aunt as a child, he was exposed to many kinds of technology, as his aunt was an editor for a technology magazine. As a result, Kazuto often found himself tinkering with computers and playing video games in his spare time. This eventually resulted in Kazuto being one of the few people selected to beta test the highly anticipated virtual reality MMORPG, Sword Art Online.
Shino Asada (Sinon)
Shino Asada is a major female character from the Gun Gale Online arc of Sword Art Online. As a young child, Shino and her mother became hostages in an armed robbery, where the assailant threatened Shino's mother if workers did not comply. In a panic, Shino managed to obtain the robber's pistol and accidentally shot him. The trauma from this incident left Shino so afraid of firearms, she would suffer from breakdowns whenever she saw one. As she grew older, one of her friends recommended that she try playing Gun Gale Online as a way to get her used to being around firearms and help her overcome her trauma. After a rough start playing as Sinon, she eventually became a very skilled and reputable sniper.
