About Yennefer of Vengerberg: Background
Yennefer had a rough childhood due to her deformity. She was born with a congenital hunchback and was detested by her father for the deformation. Her father blamed her mother for the deformity and said it was due to her mage and elven blood. Initially, her mother had tried to protect Yennefer. However, it did not stop her father from beating her. Later, her father walks out on them for another woman, leaving her mother in despair. Her mother now turns to hate her daughter and starts to beat Yennefer.
She later attends Aretuza school, a sorceress school, where she meets Tissaia de Vries. Tissaia becomes both her mentor and a mother-like figure to her. As Yennefer trained, she attempted to kill herself. However, she survives, and her training continues. Her hunchback is removed due to sorceress tradition, as all physical imperfections are magically removed. In 1186, she passed all of her training and tests and graduated from the school as a fully grown sorceress.
Yennefer meets Geralt for the first time when she is in Rinde, staying at Beau Berrant's home. Geralt first meets Yennefer as he requires her assistance to heal his friend, Dandelion. Yennefer agrees to help heal his friend and attempts to capture the djinn that hurt Dandelion. However, while trying to capture the djinn, it’s revealed that Yennefer would be too weak to capture it and would ultimately be killed. Geralt saves her life by using his last wish to tie their fates together. Hence the two begin a relationship.
In Witcher 3, Yennefer gives Geralt a note stating that she would like to see him urgently. However, the location is destroyed and forces her to flee to the White Orchard. It’s revealed that Ciri has returned and is being pursued by the Wild Hunt. In order to track Ciri, Yennefer had been using a variety of different spells but to no avail.

Yennefer is shown to have exceptional magical capabilities, especially compared to her peers. A part of her exceptional abilities is due to the elven blood which runs through her. She had also graduated from Aretuza School at the young age of 13 years old.
She is described as a beauty who steals the hearts of men. Her beautiful appearance results from the magic that she acquired during her training. She is highly intelligent and can make it through any challenges. This is especially notable in Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where she uses all of her resources to help find Ciri and protect her.

In Witcher 3, Geralt and Yennefer meet at an inn in Lavrik, where she tells him she wants to tame a djinn. As they search for wreckage, Geralt finds a large crate at the bottom of the seal with the seal intact. Later on, Yennefer confesses that she wants the djinn to dissolve Geralt’s last wish, which was to intertwine their fates. She states that this is so they can see if they truly love each other.
Ciri
The two meet in 1266 when Yennefer receives a letter from Geralt to teach Ciri. Initially, the two do not get along, but they grow to form a mother-daughter-like bond as time passes. Yennefer is the one to teach Ciri about magic and how to harness chaos. She also helps her control her breathing and pulse to overcome her nightmares. Their bond is powerful and when Yennefer hears of Ciri being hunted by the Wild Hunt, she utilizes all of her resources to help protect her.
