OtapediaDarth Vader Star Wars - Nendoroid

Known as the greatest villain of all time, Darth Vader is one of the most well-known characters in the Star Wars franchise. Known for his all-black costume and villainous personality, he has created a large following. His villainous yet seemingly human moments make him mysteriously irresistible and are the reason for his immense popularity. This Darth Vader Nendoroid perfectly captures his dark look but in a smaller size: “Nendoroid Darth Vader.”

Nendoroid Darth Vader

This Darth Vader Nendoroid recreates the Darth Vader seen in Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope. His completely black outfit is accurately replicated, with different textures of black used to emphasize the various aspects of his outfit. His black helmet gives off a dangerously shiny look, while his cape has a clean matte look. This Nendoroid figure comes with multiple accessories, including his lightsaber with detachable blades, parts to hold the lightsaber in one hand, and a Death Star. There are also two cape parts, one with a solid appearance and the other with a more dynamic flare.

About Darth Vader

Darth Vader is a Sith Lord and was a legendary Force-sensitive being.

About Darth Vader: Background

Named Anakin Skywalker initially, he takes on the identity Darth Vader after he turns to the dark side of the Force and sides with the Sith Lord Darth Sidious.

As a child, Anakin was a child slave in Tatooine. He was then discovered by Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master, who saw Anakin as the chosen one. Anakin is later trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi and becomes further attuned to the Force, and starts rising in rank. However, his fear of loss was amplified as he continued to train. He feared losing those around him and would latch on to those close to him.

Later in life, Anakin grew impatient and arrogant, and despite the training his mentor provided him, his arrogance would keep getting the better of him. However, despite this, he still stayed faithful and held importance in helping those in need. Ultimately his intense need to save those around him and his fear of losing those close to him push him to the dark side. He shows little care for the method to save those around him. Instead, he goes to great lengths to protect those around him.

Unlike many of the other Jedis, Anakin struggled to reign in his emotions, and after seeing visions of his wife dying at childbirth, he is pushed to the dark side. His desire to obtain enough power to protect his loved ones ultimately drives him to the dark side. As he lets the dark side take over, he takes on the name Darth Vader.

About Darth Vader: Abilities

Due to being the chosen one, Darth Vader is heavily in tune with the Force and is considered one of the strongest bearers of the Force. Using the Force, he can enhance various aspects to put him at an advantage in combat. Darth Vader prefers Telekinesis as it allows him to move objects with his mind and with small movements from his hand. In particular, he uses force push to send enemies flying and heavily injure them. He can also use force wave, force repulse, and more. These are all telekinetic abilities that can knock out and repulse enemies.

One of Darth Vader’s most notable abilities is his combat technique using a lightsaber. He is one of the best sword fighters and is able to use all seven styles in a hybrid form using Form V, producing powerful counter-attacks. Another notable skill is that he can throw an active lightsaber to attack, using the Force to guide it. He can also telekinetically activate a lightsaber, hence lethally activating a lightsaber on unsuspecting enemies.

Other Important Star Wars Characters

Darth Vader is a very complex character, and while a villainous character, he holds powerful connections with multiple characters. In particular, Luke Skywalker and Padme Amidala significantly affect Darth Vader's life.

Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker is Darth Vader’s son. Initially, he is unaware of Luke’s existence. However, after envisioning his wife dying at childbirth, Darth Vader becomes obsessed with gaining enough power to save those around him. The two become enemies due to their differing opinions on freedom and the Force. Unfortunately, after realizing the truth about their relationship, while Darth Vader’s mindset shows a slight change, he still desires to bring Luke to the dark side. Despite the many unredeeming moments Darth Vader may have had, Luke continues to see the good and believes that he can be redeemed.

Padme Amidala

Padme Amidala is the wife of Anakin Skywalker. He greatly cared for his wife, and the thought of losing her pushes Anakin to the dark side, leading to the rise of Darth Vader. He feels intense shame and guilt towards his actions against her and wraps himself in a veil of self-loathing. Despite turning to the dark side, Padme continued to believe that he could be redeemed, and ultimately she turned out to be correct. Padme believed in her husband till her dying breath.
